The candidate will be responsible for creating, leading and growing Stellar’s enterprise-wide sustainability strategy and programs and, therefore, must possess the appropriate technical, analytical, and collaborative skillsets to drive sustainable practices into all phases of the planning, design, and construction process. Project management and leadership experience is a must. The candidate must possess solid communication and presentation skills and serve as a strategic partner to departmental and executive leaders, driving measurable reductions in sustainability and environmental impact while strengthening Stellar’s competitive advantage. The candidate’s core technical skills should include mechanical and electrical design knowledge, as well as the environmental sciences, within multiple markets like; industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, institutional, and food. Experience conducting life‑cycle analyses, energy modeling, and carbon footprint calculations, along with experience with energy efficiency and renewable technologies such as CHP, are required. A deep understanding of state and federal regulations, along with the ability to quickly ascertain local regulations is vital, as is an awareness of building codes related to energy efficiency and environmental compliance. Familiarity with green building certifications such as LEED, Green Globes, etc. The ability to analyze environmental data and model energy performance using statistical tools such as Python or R, as well as some basic production skills, i.e., the use of AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM for sustainable design would be beneficial.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • A minimum of 10 years of architectural or engineering experience is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of sustainability experience.
  • An AIA or PE license, in good standing, is required in at least one state.
  • LEED Accreditation is required.
  • Up to 20% travel may be required.

Overview

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will serve as our field-based scientific expert whose mission is to foster collaborative relationships with opinion leaders focused on Acute Intermittent Porphyria (AIP), Cystinosis, Urea Cycle Disorders such as NAGS Deficiency, and Organic Acidemias (PA/MMA) and to facilitate the exchange of unbiased scientific information between the medical community and the company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver clinical and scientific presentations to health care professionals, including clinicians (i.e., endocrinologists) and P&T committee members. Support medical community with up‑to‑date medical information, robust disease expertise and product information.
  • Provide scientific support at medical conferences and support medical community with up‑to‑date medical information, robust Acute Intermittent Porphyria (AIP), Cystinosis, NAGS deficiency and Organic Acidemias understanding and product information for Panhematin, Cystadrops, Carbaglu.
  • Maintain peer‑to‑peer collaborations and relationships with key medical experts in relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Respond to unsolicited medical information requests using a customized approach.
  • Collaborate with physicians on medical affairs initiatives including providing assistance with publications and investigator initiated trials as well as company sponsored research.
  • Support clinical initiatives including assessment and selection of clinical investigations, site identification, registry and presentation of final approved data.
  • Provide medical and scientific input into the planning and execution of Advisory Boards. Work with physician experts to review speaker presentations and provide medical references when requested.
  • Train staff, including sales team on key scientific and medical topics in relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Responsible for developing territory plan with input from direct line manager.
  • Gather clinical field insights and inform team on a regular basis through appropriate channels.
  • Understand the role and contributions provided by Medical Science Liaisons and Medical Affairs.
  • Act in full compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies including adverse events / pharmacovigilance responsibilities.

Education and Experience

  • Advanced scientific degree (M.D., D.O., Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.S.) or clinically relevant degree (R.D., CGC, RN, PA) in medical, biological sciences required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Medical Affairs/Clinical functions strongly preferred.
  • Familiarization with drug development process, FDA, ICH, and GCP guidelines.
  • Experience implementing, monitoring, and/or managing clinical trials for academic clinical research or pharmaceutical/biotechnology company a plus.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to critique and interpret clinical data.

Overview

This position will be responsible for developing and achieving fund raising goals established by the TARC Operating and Foundation Board of Directors. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • I. Development
    • Develop and achieve fund raising goals established by the TARC Operating and Foundation Boards of Directors.
    • Identify, through Program Directors, specific program needs and cultivate through private donors, grants, and special events funds to meet their needs.
    • Oversee TARC’s donor database and update regularly to ensure accuracy of contact information.
    • Be accountable to donors and cultivate and educate potential and new donors.
  • II. Budget
    • Develop and monitor the annual Development budget in consultation with the Finance and Executive Directors.
    • Work closely with the Finance Division with respect to compliance with TARC finance policies, donor acknowledgement, and financial reporting.
  • III. Special Events
    • Provide support and guidance to Marketing, Events & Volunteer Coordinator. Conceptualize event(s).
    • Review event logistics with all timelines and responsibilities identified prior to the opening of the event.
    • Ensure all processes are documented and follow-up activities related to the event, including sponsor recognition, are completed.
    • Maintain strong working relationships with existing event sponsors and ensure donor recognition occurs in a timely manner.
    • Assist in evaluation and de-briefing following each event.
  • IV. Marketing and Public Relations
    • Provide support and guidance to Development and Marketing Intern.
    • Provide support and guidance to Marketing, Events & Volunteer Coordinator, whose responsibilities include the following:
    • Oversee the development and editing of all promotional and informational materials including newsletters, videos, advertising, annual reports, flyers, brochures, and other materials used by TARC. Retain consultants and vendors as needed to meet objectives.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with the media, prepare and distribute organizational news releases, be available to provide presentations on TARC and its’ programs and services, as well as tours.
    • Review/approve marketing efforts promoting TARC’s presence on all social media and maintain TARC’s website to ensure information is current and reflective of TARC’s mission, services, and opportunities.
    • Ensure all TARC activities are publicized on local and regional calendars through all media markets (TV, radio, and print).
    • Assist with community awareness training through speaking engagements, vendor and informational fairs and public forums.
    • Represent TARC by actively participating in community organizations that focus on promoting, collaborating, and enhancing area events and community activities.
  • V. Volunteers
    • Provide support and guidance to Marketing, Events & Volunteer Coordinator.
  • VI. Community Relations
    • Maintain membership and participation in professional and civic organizations.
    • Coordinate with the Executive Director to participate in community events to raise public awareness of TARC’s mission.
  • VII. Other Duties as Assigned
    • Other duties as assigned consistent with the role.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • QUALIFICATIONS:

    Person of good character who is mentally and physically able to conduct oneself in a responsible manner in carrying out the job for which they are employed.

  • EDUCATION:

    Bachelor’s degree or requisite experience in Public Relations and/or Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.

  • TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

    As outlined in TARC Policy 03-014 Staff Development

  • WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

    Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Special Events are generally held outdoors and are subject to weather conditions.

  • OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    A. Must have and maintain a valid Kansas driver’s license. B. Maintain eligibility for TARC’s standard insurance policy. C. Must be able to exercise good judgement and discretion in handling confidential information. D. Must be available evenings and/or weekends for Special Events as needed. E. Understanding of and commitment to TARC’s mission. F. Ability to fulfill the job description requirements in a timely and effective manner.
