Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
Essential Functions
Demonstrate technical competency in performing echocardiography exams following departmental protocols.
Prioritize, schedule, and coordinate exams with physicians, caregivers, and patients.
Prepare, educate, transport, and position patients; perform ultrasound exams in a timely manner while ensuring safety, comfort, and quality outcomes.
Identify patient needs during exams and communicate effectively with physicians, caregivers, patients, and families.
Ensure patient stability and safety before, during, and after procedures.
Accurately document exam results and apply appropriate charge codes for exams and supplies.
Mentor caregivers and students on basic equipment use and procedural techniques.
Clean, maintain, and stock equipment and work areas; coordinate repair and supply needs as appropriate.
Support team operations, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional education.

Physical Requirements

- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
