Exciting opportunity in Overlake's brand new Off-Campus Emergency Department.
Overlake is preparing to open our first off-campus ED (OCED) facility in Lynnwood this fall. This new OCED will provide 24/7 ED-level care in a highly collaborative, fast-paced setting. It will be based on the model MultiCare has used to open highly successful OCED locations across Washington State.
A CT technologist works with Medical Imaging leadership and department medical director to develop operating policies and procedures. The person in this role is responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional CT & X-Ray exams and procedures within these established guidelines. Serves as a role model and resource within the department.
Part Time / Days
0.9 FTE / 12 hour shifts
Qualifications
- AA/BA/BS degree through an accredited Radiology program required or has satisfactorily completed a formal military or hospital-based radiology technologist training program
- Minimum 1 year experience as a medical imaging technologist preferred. Previous hospital experience preferred. For Lead position, a minimum of six months previous leadership experience preferred.
- ARRT(R) registry required upon hire.
- ARRT(CT) advanced registry required upon hire.
- Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) is required upon hire. Biannual renewal of RT state license required by DOH and Overlake Hospital, with evidence of same by primary source verification
- Requires 24 CME credits every two years (Biennium).
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification required upon hire
- Formal IV start training and annual competencies in IV starts as applicable for position

What you’ll be doing
- Supervise the care/services provided by the LPNs, Certified Nursing Assistants and other team members who care for the residents
- Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit assuring all residents are assigned staff capable of providing appropriate care to the resident.
- Provide safe and accurate Medication Related interventions to residents.
- Assess the health of residents and notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement new orders.
- Develop a plan of care based on assessment, and implementing nursing care.
- Select and institutes appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize a resident’s condition and /or prevent complications.
- Contribute to the resident’s assessment (MDS/CAA’s) and the development of a plan of care.
Education and/or Experience:
- ADN or BSN.
- Demonstrates knowledge of basic nursing practice with an interest in gerontological nursing.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Must have a current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Current CPR certification.
- or acceptable exemption required.
- Additional certification in nursing specialty desired.

Department Description: The Community Hospice team delivers care to patients in the community, providing a wide range of skilled nursing care and support. We are an interdisciplinary team collaborating to support patients to remain in the setting of their choice – their home. The Registered Nurse will provide phone triage from an office setting focused on initiating symptom management, providing education, care coordination with healthcare providers, and managing medication refills and new orders to support clinicians in the home. Additionally, the Registered Nuse will, when required, provide a full range of skilled nursing care to patients in a home care setting with a focus on patient education and palliative care to meet the physical and emotional needs of patients, while providing support to families.
Minimum Requirements
- Associate's degree in nursing or higher.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a Community Hospice Nurse or minimum of four years of experience in home health nursing.
- Certification in hospice and palliative care preferred.
On-call: Not Required.

Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant Certified (CMA) provides superior patient care and perform both clinical and administrative tasks.
- Enters, maintains, and reports all medical history, medical coding, and files claims using Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Greets, prepares, and takes patients to examination room, this includes:
- Taking patients’ vital signs, temperature, pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, and medical history.
- Understanding, properly documenting, and conveying reason for visit or medical complaint.
- Recording and updating all patient information from pulse oximetry, changes in allergies, and pain levels in EMR.
- Performing venipuncture and electrocardiograms, as ordered by the physician.
- Collecting, preserving, and properly labeling laboratory specimens, bodily fluid, and blood samples.
- Providing patients with privacy, comfort, safety and hygiene.
- Assists the Practice Physician during examinations.
- Explains medical procedures to patients and provides instruction to patients about medication and special diets under the direction of the physician.
- Sterilizes and prepares medical instruments. Ensures patient exam rooms are disinfected, orderly, and ready for incoming patients.
- Assists in maintaining inventory and stocking supplies, instruments and equipment for all exam rooms.
- Maintains appropriate paperwork for inventory control and reviews orders received for completeness.
- Addresses and requests referrals and other insurance authorizations in addition to passing along patient information for prescription, x-ray or lab requisitions to necessary parties. This includes calls to pharmacies, hospitals, and labs.
