ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.

  • Complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).

  • Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.

  • Utilize fleet maintenance system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines.

  • Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

  • Internal: All Fleet Technicians, Drivers, Coordinators and Manager

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Onsite: The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.

  • Ability to work flexible schedule.

  • Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have 1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.

  • Must furnish own personal hand tools.

  • Able to read and write legibly (e.g., to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, and enter information on reports if needed); basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide).

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING

  • N/A

LICENSES

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification

  • Experience with Maximo fleet maintenance system

  • Previous mechanical and PM program experience

The estimated base salary range for this job is $165,000 - $190,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron's pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $178,000 - $228,000. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron's benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
