Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
-
Responsible for cleaning all guest rooms and areas (including but not limited to: porches, vestibules, great rooms, living areas, etc) while maintaining all items in good repair at The Hotel Hershey and The Villas at the Hotel Hershey.

Cleaning assigned rooms/areas, replenishing linens and supplies.
-
Reporting any damaged or missing items; reporting and turning in all lost/found items
-
Calling to have light bulbs replaced.
-
Stocking linen cart for the next work shift.
-
Maintaining upkeep of linen closets.
-
Reporting unsafe conditions or acts to a direct supervisor; making up cots and cribs.
-
Returning room service items to proper location; assisting with the training of new Guest Room Attendants.
-
Performing other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
-
This position requires successful completion and passing of the post-offer employment physical exam.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
Professional guest service attitude, well-groomed, professional appearance, and self-confidence.
-
Self-motivated and capable of working alone.
-
Ability to clean 14 or more credits within a specified period of time.
-
Ability to understand and communicate instructions, both written and verbal.
-
Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment such as a vacuum cleaner.
-
Must have the visual ability to meet our very high cleaning standards.
Job Demands:
-
Normal working hours are 8AM-4:30PM or 8:30AM-5PM; Monday through Sunday; working weekends and holidays are required.
-
Proper footwear to be provided by employee.
-
Considerable walking and pushing/ pulling of linen carts is required.
-
Ability to safely use chemicals in and around the workplace meeting OSHA standards.
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
-
Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, handling, stooping, reaching, lifting and repetitive motions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to

Constantly (67 – 100% of time): Stand, Walk, Reach forward, and Balance

Frequently (34 – 66% of time): Lift (0-20 lbs), Push (0-10 lbs), Pull (0-10 lbs), Stoop, Kneel, Crouch, Handle Objects, Grasp and Operate controls

Occasionally (1 – 33%): Lift (21 – 50 lbs), Carry (11 – 50 lbs), Push (11 – 20 lbs), Pull (11 – 20 lbs), Climb Stairs, Reach Overhead, and Crawl

This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.

Overseeing and enforcing swimming pool and attraction rules and safety regulations.*

Anticipating, recognizing, and responding to aquatic emergencies.*

Monitoring equipment and supplies.*

Maintaining work area and surrounding environment.*
-
Lifeguards must maintain lifeguard and first aid skills at "test ready" level at all times.*
-
Participate in weekly lifeguard in-service training.*

Perform other job related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
Must be at least 16 years of age or older on the date of applying.
-
Applicants must attend and complete the Ellis & Assoc. International Pool and Lifeguard Training Program provided and paid for by the Hershey Entertainment and Resorts properties.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
Ability to handle stressful working conditions, emergencies, and to accept a high degree of accountability.
-
Must be able to swim 100 yards using front crawl or breaststroke without resting.
-
Must be able to feet first surface dive and retrieve a 10 lb. brick from a minimum depth of 8 ft. (or deepest depth of the facility) and bring it to the surface.
-
Must be able to tread water without using arms for 1 minute.
-
Must be able to safely exit pool without use of stairs, ladders, or zero depth.
-
Must be in good physical condition.
-
Must have normal vision. (20/25 or 20/25 corrected)
-
Prior lifeguarding experience a plus, but not required.
-
Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other employees and be able to interact with our guests.
-
Must be able to speak, write, and understand English.
-
Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts.
-
Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information.
Job Demands:

Must be able to work flexible hours including days, weekends, and holidays

Hours are from 7:00am-11:00pm
-
Must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours per week.

Must be able to work in a combination of indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
-
Physical requirements include standing, bending, sitting, walking, and communicating.
-
Additional physical requirements include complete mobility and good physical conditioning, good hearing and vision, and ability to tolerate heat and sunlight.

Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of 75 lbs
