- Reporting Location: In the event coverage is not assigned, Coverage Behavior Technician will report to one of Intercare’s Behavioral Health Centers to conduct Behavior Health coverage or essential non-coverage functions
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Coverage Behavior Technician to join our School Services team at Intercare Therapy. This floating position provides essential coverage support when Behavior Interventionists are absent, ensuring continuous quality care for our students.
Description:
The Coverage Behavior Technician (CBT) is a year-round floating support position that provides coverage and operational support across Intercare’s School Services and Behavioral Health programs. CBTs are deployed where support is most needed and may work across multiple schools, districts, centers, clients, and programs throughout the year.
This role helps ensure continuity of services by providing direct intervention, supporting staffing needs, assisting with onboarding and peer support initiatives, and contributing to operational projects during periods of lower coverage demand. The CBT position offers a dynamic work experience, consistent hours, and opportunities to support a variety of teams and service environments while making a meaningful impact across the organization.
Reports to: Senior Specialist, School Operations
Primary Responsibilities
School-Based Direct Services
- During school-based coverage assignments, the CBT will:
- Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Provide individualized behavioral intervention support
- Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies
- Support students through instructional and non-instructional activities
- Facilitate participation in classroom, recreational, and community-based activities
- Utilize CPI and approved crisis management procedures when necessary
- Collect behavioral data and complete required documentation
