A Brief Overview

A Technician Trainee will be trained and educated to become a proficient auto glass technician. Upon completing our training program, the trainee will receive the Safelite SafeTech certification and will possess fundamental skills necessary for performing unsupervised glass repair, replacement and recalibrations.  The trainee is expected to embody the Safelite Spirit with a can-do attitude, caring heart and service mindset while striving to bring unexpected happiness to customers by completing jobs timely and with the highest quality standards.

What you will do
•    Be paid to learn and apprentice the Safelite way, through hands-on and classroom training, including:
•    Observing and assisting in installing and repairing auto glass
•    Recalibrating automotive safety systems, including trouble-shooting and completing diagnostic testing
•    Providing additional services & products
•    Study and pass testing to become a Safelite-certified Technician showing proficiency in installations, embracing a positive attitude and following taught techniques.
•    Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company-issued tools and chemicals utilized throughout the workday.
•    Performs other duties as assigned
•    Complies with all policies and standards

What you’ll get:
•    Competitive weekly pay starting at $22.25/hour, increasing to $26.50/hour after training and certification.

Education Qualifications

Skills and Abilities
•    Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
•    Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist body
•    Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
•    Ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state and local laws and agreement to be monitored via in-cab vehicle safety camera / video surveillance technology
•    Maintains professionalism and passion for providing outstanding customer service and exceeding customer expectations
•    Ability to safely work outside (in a wide variety of weather conditions and extreme temperatures) for extended periods
•    Ability to work with chemicals (including but not limited to flammable chemicals), as applicable per the “Safelite Way of Fitting”
•    Ability to work scheduled days, with flexibility on start and end times to accommodate customer’s needs
•    Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools to complete recalibrations and trouble-shoot issues

  • Partner with our Solutions Engineer and Solutions Architect teams for in-depth technical conversations and understanding of our clients work flow and how our solutions can seamlessly integrate and provide value.
  • Become an expert not only in SmartRent solutions, but in smart home and property management technology, to be able to take a truly consultative selling approach for our industry partners.
  • Attend industry events and conferences with other sales and marketing team members to drive engagement and awareness of new products and features.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as an enterprise B2B complex SaaS sales professional (land and expand).
  • Proven ability to close complex SaaS or Hardware contracts in excess of $100K.
  • Experience running a complex deal cycle with multiple stakeholders (multi-threading) often where decisions are made by committee.
  • Ability to develop C-Suite / Executive / VP level relationships quickly and effectively.
  • Experience presenting to and negotiating with C-Suite / Executive / VP level stakeholders at leading enterprise companies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Organized, process-oriented, and someone who values the importance of having proper documentation.
  • Team player and self-starter that can pivot with change easily and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • An ALL-IN mentality, ready to hit the ground running, have some fun and crush your goals as a team and individual contributor.
  • Must be willing and able to travel out of state for industry events and client meetings as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in or selling to the Multifamily residential housing industry.
  • SaaS AND Hardware sales experience (IoT, smart home, access control, Wi-Fi, etc.).
  • Trained on Sandler, Challenger, SPIN and other consultative selling styles.

Salary: $120,000.00 annually with a potential OTE between $240,000 and $300,000 each year. This role may also be eligible for other variable compensation.

Responsibilities
  • Work with primary fabricators to supply and prepare all needed materials for their current jobs.
  • Operate and maintain various machinery, including manual grinders, punch presses, press brakes, and overhead cranes.
  • Safely operate forklifts to transport materials throughout the facility.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate material handling and machining.
  • Perform equipment troubleshooting and maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Utilize manual plasma cutters and gear machinery for precise material cutting and shaping.
  • Employ shop math skills to measure and calculate material dimensions accurately.
  • Meet physical requirements of the job, including lifting and moving heavy materials.
