Reports to: General Manager/Assistant General Manager Payment Type: Hourly, non-exempt, Semi-Monthly Part-time -- EARLY MORNING HOURS (4 AM to 11 AM Weekdays) Job Summary:

As the first point of contact for our members, it is crucial that the Front Desk Opener is consistently punctual and dependable in opening the facility on time and ensuring that everything is running smoothly. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can be counted on to complete tasks accurately and efficiently, and is committed to maintaining a high standard of service for our members.

Responsibilities

• Opens the fitness center promptly at 5:00 am Monday through Friday
• Ensures all cash deposits are handled accurately and securely.
• Ensures towels are clean, stocked, and available for members.
• Prepares and stocks Juice Bar ingredients and equipment for the day.
• Greets members in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ensures members and guests check in appropriately.
• Assists members with account issues and answer general questions.
• Complete regular cleaning tasks throughout the fitness center.
• Counts inventory and reports any discrepancies to management.
• Performs additional tasks as needed.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach overhead.
• Must be able to handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Must be able to work in noisy environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a fitness or hospitality environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle cash deposits and manage inventory.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be punctual and reliable.
• Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 4:00 am to 11:00 am

Automotive Service Advisor / Writer

DARCARS of Silver Spring is now seeking an Automotive Service Advisor / Writer. As the Automotive Service Advisor / Writer you are responsible for presenting, consulting and selling automotive warranty products and repair services to the customer in a professional manner while adhering to the manufacturer's published maintenance schedule and requirements and company policy. In addition, you will build rapport with customers to promote customer satisfaction and customer retention.

In this role you'll:

• Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtain pertinent vehicle information
• Advise customers on the care and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications
• Generate and provide customers with a complete and accurate estimate of repair orders
• Establish and communicate completion time of repair with customer and technician
• Answer incoming service calls
• Maintain and schedule service appointments
• Follow prescribed procedures for customer post follow-up resulting in return visits, increased sales and excellent CSI
• Follow the manufacturer's warranty guidelines and procedures
• Conduct business with high integrity that maintains the manufacturer Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and DARCARS specified goal(s)
• Comply with all federal, state and local laws, and company policy, regarding the safeguarding all customer, company and manufacturer information, as well as customers vehicle and property
• Must be able to manage in a fast paced work environment with limited supervision
• Must have great customer service, phone and computer skills
• Previous automotive Service Advisor experience highly preferred
• Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background)

Lead Steward

If you strive to be "The Best", we want to hear from you! The Lead Steward role is to supervise the day-to-day operation of the department for a given shift. The Lead Steward is responsible for the control and distribution of operating equipment, maintenance of cleaning and sanitation standards, supervision of all utility, pot washer, dishwasher, and worker assignment tasks. This is a working supervisory position.

Responsibilities:

• Implement the Standard Operating Procedures for the Stewarding department with guidance from Chefs
• Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulation and hotel requirement.
• Meet with Executive Chef/Banquet Chefs to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes, and other information pertinent to the operation.
• Develop a cleaning schedule for kitchen, pastry, garde manger, banquets, cafeteria, and coolers.
• Continue to keep all special event storerooms clean and organized
• Responsible for the requisition of all products utilized in the stewarding area
• Stocking all storage areas when shipments are received.
• Inspect the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment, and supplies, ensure everything complies with standards.
• Quarterly inventory of china, glasses, silverware and hollowware from the outlets and main storage.
• Establish and maintain accurate par levels of china, glass silver inventory.
• Provide enough equipment (china, glass, silver) to the outlets and banquet for their operation.
• Requisition and organization of chemical supplies
• Assist and provide equipment for all banquets functions.
• Assist banquet kitchen team with plate up, when necessary.
• Provide supervisory guidance and assistance to all colleagues in the Stewarding Department
• Work with the Executive Chef/Banquet Chef on weekly schedule for stewarding staff
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the back dock, employee entrance and first floor hallway area.
• Revise standard and procedures for the department, as necessary with approval of Executive Chef/Banquet Chefs
• Create a safe and secure environment for all guests and colleagues.
• Assist anywhere else in the F&B department to ensure effortless guest experiences and continuity in service
• Report to work in proper uniform and ensure Stewarding department is in proper uniform as well
• Covers shifts as needed according to business levels and budget restriction
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a luxury market.
• 1- 2 years' experience in supervisory skills.
• Speak fluent of English, read, and write.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
• Must be able to relate to all levels of management.
• Must be self-motivator and motivate others.
• Must work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner.
• Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Must have superior organizational skills.
• Must have mathematical skills, Computer software aptitude and some hotel operations.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk and stand for up to 8 hours a day, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
