Summary:

The occupational therapist shall be responsible for providing a full range of occupational therapy including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. The occupational therapist shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribute to program development, quality improvement, and problem solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion.

Position Education/Qualifications:

  • Graduate of accredited school of occupational therapy required
  • Current and active Occupational Therapist license with the state of Texas required
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Adult & Geriatric rehab experience is preferred
  • Organizational skills is necessary
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration, and physicians
  • Prefer hospital experience

Job Knowledge/Experience:

Three (3) - five (5) years in-patient rehab experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by effectively communicating them to others. Considers mission, vision and values in developing services, standards and practice

Therapeutic interventions result in positive outcomes as judged by program evaluation and patient satisfaction.

Demonstrates understanding of contraindications and precautions with the application of modalities based on the patient's age and associated potential risk factors.

Uses positive feedback to promote patient participation in their rehabilitation program. Communicates with patients in terms that are understandable based on individual age and understanding ability.

Community based therapeutic activities are provided to facilitate skill generalization.

Formalized and goal directed educational / training activities are provided at an appropriate level of understanding per the patient's age and cognitive abilities.

Other members of the team are consulted to coordinate therapeutic activities.

Patient response to the treatment plan is evaluated as evidenced by patient achievement of goals and/or goal revision, the treatment plan is updated as needed and/or on a weekly basis.

Information is provided to patient/family and occupational therapist regarding current status, program planning and discharge plans throughout the rehabilitation program.

Document the course of patient care including progress made and continuing need for treatment.

Provide patient and family education on tasks and resources that will assist with continued functional independence.

Collaborate with the OT to develop new methods of delivering education to patients and family.

Coordinate treatment activity with supervising OT and other disciplines and team members.

Attends team meetings and offers ideas/solutions in problem solving situations/activities regarding the program.

Contribute to development of improved efficiency and productivity of center clinical and administrative functions.

Participate in survey preparation by completing assigned tasks as requested and submitting data as requested.

Utilizes resources appropriately and uses/maintains equipment in order to prolong working life.

B. Working Conditions: The individual spends over 95% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposures to noise. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The position does have low exposure to malodorous, infectious body fluids from patients and some minimal exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents.

C. Occupational Exposure: This position has minimal to no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues and is an OSHA Category III (although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids). Person who performs these duties are not called upon as part of their employment to perform or assist in emergency medical care or first aid or to be potentially exposed in some other way.

This position supervises a team of facilities engineers, technicians, contractors, and service providers to ensure safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective operation of critical facility systems. The Facilities Engineering Supervisor plays a key role in supporting mission-critical production, testing, research, development, and classified programs by ensuring facility assets, utilities, and infrastructure meet operational requirements, regulatory standards, and customer expectations.

This role requires strong technical leadership, project management capabilities, and experience working within highly regulated manufacturing and defense environments. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in facility engineering systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, compressed air, process utilities, fire protection systems, building automation systems, and environmental compliance programs. The position requires close collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Security, Program Management, and Engineering teams. Position Summary

  • Providing support of mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
  • Serving as CDM Smith’s task manager on various components of complicated sediments sites. This includes having the ability to assess and understand a problem, develop and communicate a technical strategy to the client, and interact effectively with CDM Smith subject matter experts.
  • Possessing an in-depth expertise in the various CERCLA, GLLA, and/or other regulatory program steps/processes at contaminated sediment sites.
  • Serving as a technical liaison with the client, general public, and/or outside consultants, including communicating complicated technical evaluations and/or designs to non-subject matter experts.
  • Leading other staff in preparing/reviewing/scrutinizing technical information to provide a document that is technically sound and that conforms to applicable regulations and policy.
Skills & Abilities

Expert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Expert Knowledge of engineer principles of design. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Expert knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline. Professional engineering (PE) license. 7 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Client-focused and ability to partner with clients (mainly Federal and Public agencies).
  • Negotiation and presentation skills.

Additional Pay Range Information

CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate’s salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.

Additional Compensation

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
