Senior Product Manager - Growth & Monetization - Missoula
Make Choteau Home
missoula, mt
Compensation: 143.000 - 197.000

We’re a team of builders, adventurers, and risk takers using technology to help people confidently explore the outdoors. Driven by our mission to awaken the adventurer inside everyone, we build products that optimize every outdoor experience and inspire confidence to get out and go further.

We’re a high-growth tech company. The pace is fast, the work takes grit, and ambiguity is part of the job. As the world changes around us, we adapt - continuously evolving how we build, prioritize, and deliver.

Our business moves quickly, and there’s real opportunity to shape what we build next. Each of our verticals - Hunt, Offroad, Backcountry, and Fish - is at a different stage of maturity, which means the challenges you encounter and the impact you have will vary depending on where you sit and what the business needs most.

We operate with an experimentation mindset, continually iterating and improving how we solve problems. We expect our people to use the latest tooling, including AI, thoughtfully and responsibly, pairing human judgment with technology to increase quality, speed, and impact.

Our impact comes to life through the products we build, in the stories of our customers, and in our growing commitment to land stewardship and recreational access.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager - Growth & Monetization to own our purchase flows, pricing surfaces, and conversion mechanics that turn interested users into paying members.

Beyond the consumer-facing experience, you'll also own the monetization capabilities that power it. That means driving the product vision for how we model offers, configure pricing, and build the internal tooling that lets Growth and other teams move faster with less engineering dependency, helping to scale our monetization engine.

This is a high-visibility role at the center of onX's subscription business. You'll lead a cross-functional pod (Mobile, Web, Backend, QA, Design) and partner closely with Marketing, Data, and vertical teams to drive measurable revenue impact through rigorous experimentation and smart product strategy.

You'll report to the Director of Product Management, Growth, and work in a matrixed org across Hunt, Offroad, Backcountry, and Fish verticals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Essential Job Duties & Functions

  • Own purchase flows and upsell strategy: Define and execute the product vision for how users discover, evaluate, and convert to paid membership across mobile and web, owning and driving new user conversion
  • Lead experimentation: Design and run A/B tests on pricing surfaces, checkout flows, and monetization mechanics; use results to drive roadmap decisions
  • Scale monetization infrastructure: Help scale the purchasing engine (paywall surface areas, in-app purchases, web checkout) to enable faster iteration and reduced time-to-market
  • Drive cross-functional alignment: Own the pod roadmap and communicate priorities across Engineering, Design, Marketing, and senior leadership
  • Champion customer informed decision making: Synthesize data, user research, and funnel analytics to continuously improve conversion quality and purchase experience

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Eight (8) years of relevant experience, with at least four (4) years in product management at a consumer-facing mobile software company
  • Proven experience with subscription monetization: paywalls, pricing surfaces, checkout flows, or in-app purchase
  • Strong experimentation instincts: you've designed and interpreted A/B tests that drove real decisions
  • Fluency with data: you pull your own analysis, spot patterns, and translate metrics into product strategy
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to accelerate product workflows: from research and discovery to writing and decision-making, with evidence of going beyond surface-level use to drive real leverage
  • Clear, concise communicator: written and verbal with a track record of influencing without authority
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments with ambiguity and competing priorities
  • A shared passion for and ability to demonstrate onX’s Company Values.
  • Permanent US work authorization is a condition of employment with onX.
  • Ability to travel quarterly for multiple days to a corporate office or other onX strategic location, such as a Basecamp.

ADDED BONUSES

Though not required, we would be thrilled to consider candidates with any of the following:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science or Engineering
  • Previous experience with digital subscriptions, purchasing flows, onboarding experiences, and/or personalization capabilities.
  • Background in onboarding, activation, or freemium conversion
  • Passion for outdoor recreation

THE ONX EXPERIENCE

onX is a distributed company with more than 400 employees across the country. We come together regularly to work in person and stay connected through regional basecamps and a culture that balances individual ownership with deep collaboration.

While we move quickly, we’re not a scrappy start-up. We operate with clear goals, structure, and frameworks that guide how we prioritize and execute. Priorities matter. While they may shift, data shapes how we evolve as our business, products, and the world around us change.

Clear priorities and structure don’t limit ownership - they make it possible. You’ll have the autonomy to define your work and make meaningful decisions within clear strategic boundaries. You’ll partner closely with others to solve complex problems and build solutions that scale across teams and platforms. Along the way, you’ll be supported with feedback, tools, and opportunities to grow your craft as you take on new challenges.

WHERE YOU CAN WORK

onX has created a thriving distributed workforce designed to foster connection, collaboration, and shared experience across several US locations. We have two HQ locations in Bozeman and Missoula, MT and established virtual workforce Basecamps in Austin, TX; Denver, CO; Kalispell, MT; Minneapolis, MN; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; and Seattle, WA.

HOW YOU’LL BE COMPENSATED

onX is committed to compensating all employees fairly and equitably for their contributions. For this position, applicants can expect to make between $143,000 and $197,000 upon hire. The pay range will vary based upon experience, skills, certifications, education among other factors as required in the job description. In addition, full-time onX employees are eligible for a grant of common share options with a vesting schedule and an annual bonus of 10% based on company performance.

WHAT WE’RE OFFERING YOU

  • Competitive salaries, annual bonuses, equity, and opportunities for growth
  • Comprehensive health benefits, including a no-monthly-cost medical plan
  • Paid parental leave of 13 weeks for birthing parents and 5 weeks for non-birthing parents
  • 401k matching at 100% for the first 3% you save and 50% from 3-5%
  • Company-wide outdoor adventures and amazing outdoor industry perks
  • Annual “Get Out, Get Active” funds to fuel your active lifestyle
  • Flexible time away package that includes PTO, STO, VTO, and paid holidays

PERFORMANCE ESSENTIALS

In this role, success is driven by cognitive abilities such as concentration and problem-solving, essential for our computer-centric tasks. onX will explore reasonable accommodations to ensure that individuals with diverse abilities can fully engage in and contribute to the essential physical and mental functions of the job. If you need assistance or accommodation, please contact us at

Position open until filled.

Executive Director- Montana
The Jewish Federations of North America
helena, mt
Compensation: 70.000 - 75.000

With Montana's first synagogue as our home, the Montana Jewish Project collaborates to enrich Jewish life statewide, creating a more vibrant and inclusive community for all.

About Montana Jewish Project

The Montana Jewish Project (MJP) is a dynamic, mission-driven organization building Jewish community and fostering interfaith connection across Montana. Founded in 2021 with an entrepreneurial spirit and deep roots in place-based Jewish life, MJP serves Helena’s local Jewish community, brings together Jewish communities statewide, and builds bridges with Montana’s broader non‑Jewish public.

Montana Jewish Project proudly calls Montana's oldest synagogue home. Although it is no longer a house of worship, we are a community organization dedicated to Jewish life and culture. We celebrate traditions, welcome all, and believe in the power of connection. In recent years, we've developed strong programs, built goodwill with donors, and professionalized our operations. Now, we’re entering an exciting new chapter and seeking a visionary leader to move us forward.

The Opportunity

This is a rare chance to step into a role with an established foundation, meaningful community relationships, and real room to grow. The incoming Executive Director will not be starting from scratch, but they will have the opportunity and the responsibility to help shape what MJP becomes next.

This role is deeply relational. Success here means showing up for your community, building trust with donors, partners, rabbis, board members, and neighbors, and doing so with warmth, cultural fluency, and consistent follow‑through. It also requires clear‑eyed leadership: the ability to prioritize, hold appropriate boundaries, and make decisions with confidence while remaining genuinely collaborative.

Think of MJP less like a traditional nonprofit and more like a purpose‑driven startup with deep community roots. The person who thrives here will be energized by that environment, someone who can envision a long arc, roll up their sleeves on the details, and genuinely love the people and place they’re serving.

Position Summary

Reports to: Board of Directors

Direct Reports: 1 Employee (Operations/Programs Support)

Status: Full‑Time, Exempt

The Executive Director is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, fundraising, and community engagement of Montana Jewish Project. Working in close partnership with the Board of Directors, the ED translates MJP’s mission into action — building programs, relationships, and resources that sustain and strengthen Jewish and community life in Montana.

  • Serve as the primary visionary and operational leader for MJP, translating mission and board direction into clear priorities and action.
  • Participate in facilitated strategic planning in partnership with the Board, developing goals, timelines, and metrics that reflect organizational capacity and community need.
  • Right‑size programming and operations over time, maintaining quality, community presence, and mission impact while building toward sustainability.
  • Establish and maintain a healthy organizational culture: clear expectations, professional boundaries, and a positive working environment for staff, volunteers, and contractors.
  • Make final calls on operational and programmatic scope, empowered by the Board to lead day‑to‑day decision‑making.

Board Partnership & Governance

  • Build a productive, trust‑based relationship with the Board of Directors, providing regular updates on finances, programs, strategy, and organizational health.
  • Collaborate with the Board on annual goal‑setting, fundraising strategy, and key decisions.
  • Bring confidence and clarity to the ED/Board relationship: know when to seek input, when to act, and how to communicate both.
  • Lead all aspects of fundraising and development, with Board support; this is a primary focus of the role and essential to organizational sustainability.
  • Comfortable with relational fundraising, cultivating and stewarding relationships with individual donors, institutional funders, and community partners.
  • Develop and implement annual fundraising goals in consultation with the Board.
  • Serve as MJP’s primary external representative: with donors, rabbis, media, stakeholders, and the wider Montana community.

Programs & Community Engagement

  • Oversee MJP’s programming across three core audiences: Helena’s local Jewish community, Montana’s broader statewide Jewish community, and interfaith and non‑Jewish Montana neighbors.
  • Evaluate and refine program offerings annually; prioritize quality, mission alignment, and overall ROI.
  • Maintain and deepen MJP’s relationships with rabbis, lay leaders, community members, and partner organizations.
  • Represent MJP as a welcoming, culturally fluent, and values‑aligned presence in the community.

Operations & Staff Management

  • Manage daily operations within the approved budget; identify financial risks and opportunities proactively.
  • Hire, supervise, and develop MJP’s support staff, fostering a collaborative, mission‑aligned team culture.
  • Oversee contractors and vendors (teachers, rabbis, consultants, etc.).
  • Recruit, support, and steward volunteers as a critical organizational resource.
  • Oversee the maintenance of MJP’s operational systems: CRM, communications platforms, event logistics, and organizational records.

Minimum Qualifications

A combination of education, professional experience, and demonstrated competency may be considered.

  • 3–7 years of progressive leadership experience, with demonstrated success in an executive or senior management role.
  • Experience working with or managing a board of directors, including supporting governance development.
  • A track record of building relationships that generate support, whether through fundraising, community organizing, sales, partnerships, or other donor or constituent‑facing work.
  • Experience in nonprofit, startup, or business environments strongly preferred.
  • Community‑building experience, with a track record of cultivating meaningful relationships across diverse constituencies.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability; ability to travel within Montana as required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Bring

  • Genuine connection to or appreciation of Jewish community, values, and identity, with an understanding of Jewish observance and the significance of the Jewish calendar, and curiosity about what Jewish life looks and feels like in Montana.
  • An understanding that MJP is a welcoming, community and education organization, not a house of worship.
  • A deeply relational leadership style, energized by building trust across donors, partners, rabbis, board, and community.
  • High emotional intelligence: able to read a room, navigate complexity, and build consensus without losing decisiveness.
  • Comfort in a startup‑like environment where no task is too small, initiative is essential, and systems are still being built.
  • The ability to prioritize decisively while holding a long view of organizational sustainability.
  • Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and excellent communication across all formats.

MJP offers a salary commensurate with experience and appropriate for the Helena, Montana market, along with generous paid time off from the start of employment. This is a full‑time, salaried exempt role.

The range for this role is $70,000 to $75,000, with FSA or retirement contribution negotiable.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Primarily office‑based, with regular community and off‑site work, including events periodically held on evenings, weekends, and select Jewish holidays. MJP supports a healthy work‑life balance through flexible employee schedules.
  • Travel within Montana is required; occasional out‑of‑state travel may occur.
  • Requires regular use of computers, phones, and other technology.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift and carry items up to 30 pounds.
  • MJP’s office is located in a designated historic building; the primary workspace is on an upper floor accessible by stairs only and requires the ability to navigate multiple flights of stairs regularly, including while carrying materials and equipment for events.

Equal Opportunity Employer

MJP is an Equal Opportunity Employer. MJP does not discriminate based on race, religion, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, non‑disqualifying physical or mental disability, national origin, veteran status, or any other basis covered by applicable law. All employment decisions are based on qualifications, merit, and organizational need.We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every qualification listed. Research shows that women and people of color are less likely to apply for roles unless they meet all listed criteria, and we do not want that to be the case here. If this work excites you and you meet most of what we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.
