Licenses: Active Louisiana medical license required
Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine through ABMS; Board Eligible within 5 years
DEA: Active DEA with Louisiana address required
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
Experience: Residency trained in Internal Medicine
Other Qualifications: CME and case logs from past 2 years required; complete credentialing documentation required; H-1B and J-1 visa candidates accepted
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to hospitalized adult patients
Perform daily rounding and coordinate patient care plans
Collaborate with NP/PA staff and specialty consultants
Manage admissions, discharges, and ongoing inpatient treatment
Document patient encounters accurately and timely
Participate in a team-based hospitalist coverage model

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Valid medical license

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide HIV Primary Care and manage common primary care conditions
Maintain productivity of 14 patients per 8-hour day
Ensure timely completion of notes and charge entries
Collaborate with nursing and front office for urgent care/walk-ins
Respond to refill requests and patient communication in a timely manner
Supervise allied professionals as applicable
Participate in after-hours call coverage as needed
Complete retention reports and support clinic retention efforts
Maintain certification and continuing education
