Base pay in range will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience. Full‑time associates in role are eligible for an annual bonus incentive and sales referral bonuses. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.

Responsibilities

Leader responsible for the community’s daily operations, associate relations, resident and resident family engagement and connection, financial performance, and regulatory compliance. Creates and executes the business plan and develops the team to become a preferred senior living community in the market, while growing revenue and profitability in partnership with the district team. Works with sales to drive sales results. Creates an inclusive community culture that provides high quality resident experiences and care and engages residents, families, and associates.

  • Is responsible for all operations within the community, interacting with staff and residents, prospects, or their family members or representatives, as necessary; builds and maintains strong working relationships with management team.
  • In connection with the district team, develops and implements business plan to become a preferred senior living community in the local market and creates, analyzes, and executes annual operating and capital budgets; reviews and manages community performance against goals; sets plans to improve or maintain performance to Company service and financial standards.
  • Acts as a hands‑on leader who supervises, directs, and motivates community staff; provides assistance as needed. Encourages teamwork and collaboration and cultivates an inclusive community culture. Ensures community maintains appropriate staffing levels to meet the needs of residents and in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Attracts, develops, engages, and retains associates in accordance with Company policies. Responsible for recruiting and hiring high quality and engaged associates and ensuring they are appropriately trained and developed to meet the needs of residents. Reviews promotions, development plans, disciplinary actions, and termination decisions ensuring consistency in the selection and retention of quality associates. Analyzes trends in recruiting, turnover, and retention to continually improve community performance.
  • Builds high degree of resident satisfaction and retention. Is responsible for maintaining positive resident relations and is accessible and approachable to residents and their families. Is proactive in solving problems and resolving issues with support from district leaders. Leads efforts to leverage satisfied residents and families to grow community occupancy. Partners with the Resident Council as necessary. Administers resident satisfaction and other surveys and works with district team to create plan to address opportunities for improvement in resident satisfaction, experience, and engagement.
  • For assisted living or memory care communities, creates collaborative relationship with community clinical leader to ensure community’s care and services are appropriate to meet the needs of residents. Oversees resident services including the admission process, healthcare management, and maintenance of resident documentation to ensure high quality services and compliance with Company policy and applicable legal requirements. Assists in developing and conducting service plan reviews, consistent with applicable legal requirements, with appropriate clinical care team members and resident families to maintain the personal dignity of residents.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of financial acumen as it relates to community operations; works to meet or exceed budgeted revenue and profitability; and proactively creates plans to overcome unanticipated expenses or revenue shortfalls. Continually explores means of revenue enhancement and expense reduction, while meeting the needs of residents and adhering to Company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Drives sales and marketing efforts in collaboration with community sales leader to meet or exceed occupancy or revenue targets by developing new business, generating leads, and building strategic relationships. Engages with prospects who tour the community. Identifies trends and implements approved sales and marketing activities and strategies to maximize revenue (RevPAR).
  • Identifies and builds positive relationships with local influencers and professionals to raise community profile. Becomes active in social and civic affairs of the local community that align with the Company’s mission. Represents the community and the Company to governmental agencies (as appropriate), professional organizations, community groups, and other appropriate agencies and groups.
  • Ensures buildings, grounds, and property are up to Company standards through the oversight of preventative maintenance systems and programs and frequent inspections that meet Company standards of excellence.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Salary

Pay Range: This job can be performed in Massachusetts with a Pay Range of $115,830.00 – $235,950.00. Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job‑related, non‑discriminatory factors such as experience. Targeted Commission: $130,000.00. Our sales compensation programs offer the potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve their sales targets. Position Details

  • Full-time, in person, exempt position
  • Salary: $60,000-$65,000 depending on experience
  • Bonus Opportunities:
    • $350 private pay move-in bonus
    • $500 stable occupancy bonus
  • Mileage reimbursement for required travel

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Discuss terms, conditions, and cost for residency.
  • Perform assessments on potential residents to determine level of care and individualized service plan.
  • Work with residents, families, loved ones, and staff to admit, discharge, and handle the day to day needs of the residents.
  • Prepare residence and agreement service agreements for new residents. Collect rents and other applicable fees.
  • If necessary, assist with eviction of tenants in compliance with the Department of Human Services.
  • Communicate in a professional and friendly manner with residents' family and loved ones.
  • Keep the property in good working order. Document service needs and make requests for repairs as needed.
  • Prepare periodic inventory of building contents and property conditions.
  • Assess the property for proposed capital expenditures and submit bids to the home office.
  • Assist the Regional Director and Chief Operations Officer in developing annual operating budgets.
  • Ensure that adequate supplies are available for all departments. Review all purchases by departments to ensure that company purchase procedures and budgets are being followed.
  • Hire and staff the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Supervise employees and department heads in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws.
  • Coordinate and oversee the orientation and training of new employees. Ensure that all staff members are familiar with their duties and are following prescribed training programs.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental teamwork. Encourage and provide opportunities for employee cross-training and staff development.
  • Review and approve all schedules, ensuring that there are adequate staffing patterns to meet resident needs and Oregon's Acuity Based Staffing Tool.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, expenses, and income. Skills to understand and implement budgets.
  • Integrate yourself in the community to network with and market to potential referral sources.
  • Perform employee evaluations and make recommendations for annual payroll increases to Regional Director.
  • Follow the company medication program for each resident who requires assistance with medication; pass medications as prescribed by the attending physician when needed.
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative attitude when faced with a multitude of challenges.
  • Occasional travel is required.
  • Ensure that facility policies and procedures are followed.

Qualifications

  • Long Term Care Administrators License
  • Driver's License, good driving record, and proof of insurance
  • A management background in administration of senior housing, assisted living or residential care and/or related field.
  • Two years' experience providing care to persons in a community-based or long-term care setting or have a minimum of two years education in a health-related field, or a combination thereof.
  • High school diploma or GED required. B.A./B.S. degree is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with state residential care rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of the facility policies and procedures per state guidelines
  • Knowledge and proficiency in data entry/extraction.

  • Lead, coach, and develop all Business Development and Marketing staff.

Targeting, Tracking & Accountability

  • Evaluate and identify pursuit targets; ensure go/no-go decisions are promptly entered for DOCS.
  • Track BD staff calendars, movement, and activity to ensure efficiency and focus.
  • Ensure consistent tracking of contacts, meetings, follow-ups, and outcomes within the CRM Software.
  • Implement systems and processes that allow leadership to clearly see:
    • Who is being contacted
    • When contact occurs
    • Purpose and outcome of each interaction
  • Reporting & Executive Communication

Provide weekly business development reports to the DOCS, President, and COO that include:

  • All BD activity by all BD staff
  • Contact name, organization, date, and purpose

  • Upcoming meetings and planned follow-ups
  • Clearly communicate trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended adjustments to strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on market conditions and competitive landscape.

Key Account & Relationship Management

  • Maintain direct BD responsibility for key accounts and strategic relationships.
  • Ensure consistent, proactive engagement with priority clients and partners.
  • Coordinate internal resources to support client needs and pursuit success.
  • Act as a senior company representative and brand ambassador in the market.

Marketing Alignment & Direction

  • Directly manages and provides strategic direction to the Marketing Department.
  • Direct and guide marketing efforts to ensure maximum efficacy and alignment with the overarching company goals.
  • Ensure marketing materials, messaging, and campaigns are aligned with company mission, BD strategy and target pursuits.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to position J. Davis Construction effectively within priority markets and sectors.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with construction project management software is a plus but not required.
  • Strong business ethics with regards to budgets, invoices and payments.
  • Key understanding of contracting methods; CMR, D/B, General Contracting.
  • Working knowledge of project estimating, planning, scheduling and budgeting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that align with core values.
  • 10+ Years of experience with knowledge of construction, design, and cost management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction science & management or related field is preferred.
