This position will sit hybrid in our Dallas office

The role encompasses a wide range of activities, including reinsurance pricing analysis, interaction with our Broking teams, client interaction as well as research projects. How you'll make an impact
As an Assistant Vice President, you will provide actuarial reinsurance pricing and dynamic portfolio optimization support for our clients and prospects. Line of business focus: Personal lines Property (Cat and Non-Cat), Casualty, and Medical Malpractice.
For the right candidate, there is opportunity to manage junior analysts on the team.
Account Analysis & Support:
- Perform actuarial analysis to develop loss model for client business, estimate reinsurance pricing, and determine optimal reinsurance structures given client risk profile and underwriting strategy
- Present analyses in clear terms appropriate to the audience
- Provide value-added service to clients as needed
- Market Research and Development
- Assist in market and line of business studies to credentialize Gallagher Re as thought leader in reinsurance and primary marketplace
- Work closely with other analytical associates across Gallagher Re, including other actuaries, catastrophe modelers, rating agency advisory, ERM and capital markets associates
Problem Solving:
- Able to apply advanced mathematical / actuarial concepts and techniques
- Skilled in using Microsoft Excel and other software
- Skilled in R and Python

About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience; 5+ years’ related experience
- ACAS or FCAS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and R and/or Python
- Moderate travel required, including some overnight travel.
- Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and work outside or normal business hours as required.
- Ability to perform work on varied customer properties; entails negotiating non-public access areas, climbing, lifting, sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Overview
We’re looking for a Total Compensation & Rewards Consultant to join our team and make a meaningful impact by partnering with primarily non-profit healthcare organizations and select general industry clients. In this role, you’ll design and implement compensation strategies that align with organizational goals. This is a hybrid position based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, offering autonomy, collaboration, and the opportunity to work with mission-driven clients.
How you'll make an impact
- Help clients align their compensation strategies with their organizational objectives.
- Partner with clients to develop and implement tailored compensation plans.
- Analyze a variety of large data sets to gain insight into client compensation program effectiveness
- Conduct market total compensation pricing analyses, benefit program reviews, incentive plan design, executive performance appraisals, board governance assessments and other analyses related to total rewards
- Assist with drafting reports to deliver insights to client HR teams and board members
- Participate in discussions to uncover client needs and project goals. Work closely with consultants, analysts, and client stakeholders to deliver exceptional service.
About You
- Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years in compensation and rewards, ideally within the healthcare or non-profit space
- Strong Excel skills (including lookup functions, data visualization, logical functions, data validation, VBA, etc.)
- Analytical thinking, and clear communication.
- Experience working with large data sets and many sources of data
- Bachelor’s degree required (related fields in healthcare administration, finance, statistics, accounting)
- You’re proactive, curious, and comfortable working independently. You enjoy asking questions and identifying solutions.

How you'll make an impact
- As a subject matter expert in Health & Benefit products, services, technical tools, and vendor/carrier markets, acts as lead consultant in advising, supporting and managing designated client accounts.
- Interacting with clients and developing relationships, Lead is involved in developing strategies to meet clients' needs, and takes on the role of a trusted advisor.
- Manages projects and leads teams in researching, analyzing, and evaluating medical, dental, and life benefits plans and programs.
- Demonstrates project management and consulting skills, participating or leading the consulting team in developing the overall strategy to address the client's needs, managing the scope, quality, timeliness and budget of multiple client deliverables.
- Facilitates and participates in or leads client calls and meetings. May delegate to, review project work of, or provide direction to junior colleagues and analysts.
About You
Required: Bachelor's degree; Minimum of 7 years of Health & Benefits or related experience. Knowledge of insurance regulations. Understanding of plan design and terminology. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Thorough knowledge of MS Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred: Health, Life and Accident Insurance preferred.
Behaviors: Ability to partner and lead teams to deliver project objectives; ability to work independently and on a team. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment.
