Medication Reconciliation Technician

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • The role of the pharmacy technician in medication reconciliation is to accurately and efficiently:
    a. Collect patient's medication information from home and current pharmacy.
    b. Create and log patient's complete home medication list.
    c. Clarify for accuracy and completeness.
    d. Document patient's complete home medication list, retail pharmacy and vaccination history if available.
  • Expected to perform most job duties independently, in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Must demonstrate special skills required to efficiently interact with patients and families from different backgrounds and age categories.
  • Assists in the preparation of irrigation, intravenous admixture solutions, and other, using aseptic technique.
  • Fills unit dose, Automated Dispensing Machines (ADM), stock requisitions and maintain inventory levels in OR, Endo & OB.
  • Delivers unit dose, ADM refills, intravenous solution and necessary pharmaceutical supplies to the nursing units.
  • Fills medication labels, subject to final check by a pharmacist.
  • Prepares pre-packaged medications in commonly used quantities.
  • Assists with inventory control of supplies and medications. Receives and shelves supplies and medications. Performs cycle counts and monthly review of stock for expired medications.
  • Cleans pharmacy equipment, utensils and work areas.

Education/Experience Required:

  • Must have at least 1 year of relevant experience as a Medication Reconciliation Technician
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English at the 12th Grade level, follow orders, and written and illustrated instruction. Ability to perform arithmetical computations (add, subtract, etc.).
  • Must have passed Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration exam; all requirements of Pharmacy Technician Trainee
  • Must know basic IV admixture processes as well as sterile procedures.
  • Must have good math, computer and communication skills.
  • Must have clear understanding of medication names (brand and generic), common dosing and sig codes, and medical terminology.
  • Current PTCB certification or completion of 2 years of pharmacy school.
  • Must score 85% or greater on Medication Reconciliation Technician Test

Registration/Certification:

  • Must be registered by the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy as a Technician or as Pharmacy Intern.
  • Must be certified by the PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or have completed 2 years of pharmacy school.
  • Must maintain license from Board of Pharmacy and continuing education requirements for PTCB.

Physical/Environmental Requirements

This job requires frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking and lifting over 10 lbs. There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 100 lbs and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Frequent keyboard and telephone use. Constant concentration and problem solving.

Pay Range:

$21.27 - $38.03

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

BASIC FUNCTION

The Programming Manager supports the Director of Programming in the planning, coordination, and execution of all Flynn-presented performances by managing artist logistics, contract administration, event advancement, and departmental operations to ensure a seamless experience for artists, audiences, and staff.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a Flynn Programming representative at performances, providing support to ensure smooth and effective event operations.
  • Advance all contractual requirements with the Artist Representative essential to day-of-show logistics, including coordinating the artists ground transportation, lodging, and catering needs, as well as Front of House requirements such as merchandise, security, and Artists guest lists.
  • Greet artists when they arrive at the theater and/or off-site events to ensure a welcoming and professional environment, providing attentive, high-quality service throughout their time on site.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships and rate agreements with external vendors, especially hotels, caterers, and restaurants, to support the needs of visiting artists.
  • Maintain The Flynns internal programming calendar to ensure all performance dates are held and that performance times and relevant information are accurate.
  • Manage general accounting for the Programming Department, including processing invoices, tracking and paying deposits and guarantees, and providing payment documentation as requested.
  • Oversee the contract process from initial receipt through full execution for all Flynn-presented events.
  • Provide assistance with performance settlements by preparing all settlement documentation and updating respective budgets to ensure accurate accounting of all performance and fiscal year costs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the performing arts in Stage Management, Production, Tour Management, Company Management, or other related area of the industry.

About Ease DME

Ease DME is a compliance-forward Durable Medical Equipment provider specializing in urology supplies. We are building a highly controlled, audit-ready Medicare DME operation and are seeking our first senior operations hire.

This role protects compliance, cash flow, and accreditation integrity.

Position Summary

The Senior DME Operations & Revenue Integrity Specialist owns front-end documentation compliance, insurance verification, and revenue readiness for Medicare and commercial claims. This individual ensures what ships is billable and what bills is defensible.

This is not a clerical intake role.
This is a high-accountability Medicare DME position.

Core Responsibilities

Documentation & Compliance

  • Review physician orders and supporting medical records
  • Validate medical necessity for straight, coude, and closed system catheters
  • Ensure frequency limits and diagnosis alignment meet Medicare standards
  • Maintain audit-ready patient files in NikoHealth
  • Escalate documentation risks before shipment

Insurance & Revenue Readiness

  • Verify Medicare, MA, and commercial eligibility
  • Confirm frequency limitations and coverage requirements
  • Ensure claims are documentation-complete prior to submission

Denial Prevention & Revenue Oversight

  • Analyze denial root causes
  • Improve clean-claim rate
  • Support appeals and recoupments
  • Monitor AR trends and timely filing limits

Process Development

  • Strengthen Order workflows
  • Build documentation checklists
  • Contribute to scalable team structure as volume grows

30-60-90 Day PlanFirst 30 Days – Foundation & Familiarization

Goal: Build a strong understanding of Ease DME’s billing systems, payer requirements, and compliance standards.
Milestones:

  • Complete onboarding and training on NikoHealth, payer portals, and internal workflows.
  • Review 20+ recent claims and denials to identify common issues.
  • Learn Medicare and commercial payer rules for urology supplies (catheters, frequency limits, modifiers).
  • Shadow senior billing staff to understand claim submission and follow-up cadence.
  • Achieve 90% accuracy on supervised claim submissions.
Days 31–60 – Ownership & Efficiency

Goal: Take ownership of assigned billing queues and begin improving clean-claim rates.
Milestones:

  • Independently manage daily claim submissions and follow-ups.
  • Reduce preventable denials by 15–20% through proactive documentation checks.
  • Demonstrate consistent use of NikoHealth notes and task tracking.
  • Identify recurring documentation or intake issues and communicate with the intake team.
  • Maintain ≥93% clean-claim submission rate.
Days 61–90 – Optimization & Leadership

Goal: Drive measurable improvements in revenue cycle performance and compliance.
Milestones:

  • Fully own billing and AR management for assigned payers.
  • Maintain ≥95% clean-claim submission rate and reduce aging >60 days by measurable percentage.
  • Lead at least one process improvement initiative (e.g., denial prevention workflow).
  • Support audit readiness by ensuring documentation completeness.
  • Mentor intake staff on documentation best practices impacting billing.

Requirements

Preferred:

  • Diabetes / CGM billing experience
