Overview

Job Purpose

The Lead Financial Engineer will play a key role in developing solutions using our new platform to support our growth business in fixed income and equity analytics content. The successful candidate will effectively collaborate with Product Development, Data Analysis, Program Management, Quantitative Research, IT, QA, and Operational groups. The data analysis efforts are primarily focused on analyzing quantitative analytic measures and the supporting reference data used to derive those calculations. The successful candidate will be part of a core team to support, develop and implement large scale data processing used in high performance computing capabilities to support our analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Data Quality Analysis features on development projects
  • Provide input and expertise in new product feature design discussions
  • Ownership of auditing and validating production data quality to ensure critical deliveries are provided on-time and accurate for ICE customers
  • Research and respond to client data inquiries and challenges
  • Establish baseline metrics to give the development team insight into performance results of version upgrades and enhancements
  • Produce historical analysis that highlights current analytic trends for different asset types
  • Suggest and implement improvements for fixed income and equity data analysis requirements
  • Create documentation for data operation workflows, new data requirement specifications, and test cases for QA
  • Train, review and assign development tasks to Financial Engineers
  • Data Management

Knowledge and Experience

  • Masters Degree in Maths, Financial Engineering, Mathematical Finance, Computer Science or Finance
  • Extensive knowledge of fixed income math
  • Excellent Quantitative Analytic Skills
  • Expert Experience with SQL or other data mining technology tools (e.g., Python, R, MatLab, etc)
  • Excellent communication skills to report problems and clarify requirements
  • Detail oriented and good organization skills
  • Must be a team player, have a flexible work schedule and be willing to work in a collaborative environment
  • Self-starter, who is both disciplined and accountable for delivering accurate and timely results
  • The successful candidate will be adaptable, results-focused and can work individually or as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of software SDLC

Business Analyst

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to support data operations, CRM enhancements, and business process documentation. This role is ideal for someone with strong SQL skills, experience in data transformation, and a background in working within audited environments. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders and development teams to ensure data integrity, implement new CRM features, and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Key Responsibilities

SQL & Database Knowledge

  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract insights and support reporting.
  • Understand database schemas and join tables to support data analysis.

Data Loading & Transformation

  • Load customer list data on a weekly/monthly cadence.
  • Use tools like Alteryx for data cleansing and transformation.
  • Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, escalate issues, and advise on solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for CRM updates.
  • Translate business needs into Jira tickets for the development team.
  • Conduct DEV/UAT/PROD testing for new fields and features.
  • Process mass update requests and maintain CRM data quality.
  • Maintain documentation of CRM configurations, processes, and requirements.

Troubleshooting

  • Investigate data issues and provide actionable solutions.
  • Review field logic and verify updates through testing.

Documentation

  • Create and maintain documentation of data sources, field mappings, and business processes.
  • Ensure documentation reflects the most current state of systems and data.
  • Use Jira Software to manage and track development tasks.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in business analysis, data operations, or CRM support.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data transformation tools (e.g., Alteryx).
  • Experience working in audited or regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Jira Software.
  • CRM experience strongly preferred, especially in data maintenance and feature implementation.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Who You Are

As an Accounting Manager reporting to the Controller, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the corporate accounting function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. You are responsible for leading the month-end close processes, maintaining meticulous financial systems, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive financial efficiency. You are someone who can effectively manage and mentor a team of direct reports, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high-quality output. You will leverage your expertise in ERP systems and corporate accounting to streamline processes and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee month-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

  • Maintain the accuracy of inventory, COGS, and fixed asset accounting systems, ensuring proper classification and documentation.

  • Collaborate with FP&A and Operations teams to analyze cost drivers and track key manufacturing cost metrics.

  • Manage, review, and maintain item costing within the ERP system, including performing periodic cost updates.

  • Lead investigations into and provide analysis on manufacturing variances.

  • Hire, coach, and support talent through consistent feedback, navigation of challenges, and celebration of wins .


Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Active CPA required.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in corporate accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or similar.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.

  • Big 4 public accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst/Product Owner, your role is to identify and investigate business and system requirements in support of complex and large brokerage trading systems. This candidate will be working closely with both business and technology key stakeholders. This position will focus on complex and large-scale brokerage trading platforms, with an emphasis on Canadian brokerage trading, clearing, and settlement processes—including integration with Canadian depositories, custodians, and regulatory frameworks

Experience Requirements

  • 6+ years relevant experience in various business & systems analysis methodologies, including data analysis, data mapping, flowcharts, uses case development, story writing, set-up / configuration of systems, user acceptance testing and product documentation
  • College graduate in a technical degree that is driven to meet, or exceed, expectations.
  • Experience working in a financial services environment, with experience in the Canadian brokerage domain
  • Extremely strong critical thinking skills with the ability to quickly grasp complex systems interdependencies. Candidate must have proven capacity to identify, define, and map out detailed system interactions to solve for ambiguous business requirements
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are important for this role. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively to multiple audiences from both technical and business perspectives.
  • Highly proficient in writing user and system stories and supporting documentation - business process and system workflows
  • Proven capacity to lead clarification and translation of less-technical documentation and/or requirements into highly technical subject-matter
  • Proficient in successfully executing on define-build-test cycles.
  • Working knowledge of Java, REST, SOAP, JSON and APIs is required
  • Familiarity with Cloud Platforms (AWS) and SaaS platforms a plus
  • Deep understanding of Agile development methodologies
  • Ability to research and learn new technologies.
  • Proficient using Confluence & JIRA

Position Function:
Assists the Commercial Real Estate Lending Department (CRELD) Loan Officers with structuring, underwriting, and servicing of medium to large size real estate loans to ensure the loans meet the Bank's quality targets, lending policies, and underwriting guidelines. Career path is for individual to advance from associate level to CRELD officer level position, so there is increased emphasis on external relationship responsibilities (e.g. customer calls, negotiation skills, research/business development). Progressively handles more complex loans at more senior associate levels. Supports and assists with the lending team efforts and initiatives to generating new commercial mortgage, construction, and commercial loans and proactively managing customer relationships to meet loan runoff projections and deposit targets.

Primary Accountabilities:
Production Activities:
Actively support the Team Leader and Loan Officer to review new loan requests from existing and prospective CRELD borrowers by providing underwriting support.
Provide support for Loan Officers efforts to generate new commercial mortgages and construction loans to meet annual production goals and objectives. Assist Loan Officers to proactively address upcoming loan requests.
Review and analyze the borrower’s financial information and financial condition, order appraisal reports, order environmental reports, prepare guarantor global cash flows, and access other internal and external sources of information.
Recommend appropriate loan structures to meet the needs of both the customer and the Bank and assist in resolving any issues.
Accompany Loan Officer on prospect and customer calls to develop research/business development and negotiation skills.
Prepare Credit Approval Memorandums with clear, concise, and timely loan request presentations reviewing the strengths, weaknesses and potential risks of the credit to document the underwriting decision and supporting rationale to ensure the loan meets the Bank’s loan quality targets, lending policies, and lending guidelines.
Review commitment letters, order loan documents, review loan documents, schedule document signing, provide signed documents to Documentation Center for booking, review tickler inputs, and coordinate borrowers opening bank deposit accounts through BCSC.
For loan draw requests, review construction loan draws and inspection reports and review line draws for approval and any applicable collateral releases.
Actively participate in Bank-sponsored community events.
In the absence of the Loan Officer, manage the Loan Officer’s responsibilities in the Lending Team.
Portfolio Management:
Assist the Team Leader and Loan Officer with portfolio management responsibilities to meet the Bank’s objectives of maintaining a high quality commercial mortgage and construction loan portfolio and to minimize exceptions and maximize compliance.
Proactively manage customer relationships to meet commercial mortgage and construction loan runoff projections and CRELD deposit goals and objectives.
Prepare Modification Memorandums, Term Loan Reviews, Asset Quality Reports, and Compliance and Risk Rating Validations for the assigned Lending Team loan portfolio.
Proactively contact borrowers and guarantors for updated financial information prior to due dates to ensure timely submissions. Arrange to import the financial information into Info Access on a timely basis.
Assists Loan Officers with management of assigned loan portfolios to minimize exceptions and maximize compliance.
Verify the accuracy of tickler items in Info Access with the Credit Approval Memorandums, Modification Memorandums and Loan Agreements. Prepare waivers and extension memorandums for tickler items prior to tickler due dates.
Review and analyze financial statements and tax returns upon receipt from the customer on a timely basis and input financial statements into Baker Hill Statement Analyzer as applicable.
Assist to proactively manage and diligently monitor CRELD loan delinquencies and maturing loans in the Lending Team’s loan portfolio and take appropriate actions as required.
Provide updates and timely comments for CRELD monthly loan portfolio review reports for monthly credit discussions with Credit Administration.
Review and prepare Memorandums for EDR collateral screen follow-up actions as required.
Prepare covenant compliance tracking reports to track loan compliance.
Complete the Criticized Asset Check List requirements for loans downgraded to 7 or worse.
Provide updates and comments for the monthly Portfolio Review Reports and prepare portfolio management reports as assigned.
Support the Team Leader and overall CRELD goal of maintaining 60+ days past due ticklers below 10%.
Contribute to and support CRELD achieving satisfactory annual audit ratings and FDIC examination reviews.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Economics or combination of education and comparable work experience providing the understanding, skills and ability to perform essential duties of the position required.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in commercial real estate and/or commercial lending analysis and underwriting required.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.
Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
