  8. Establishes quality control and performance improvement activities.
  9. Develops and perform training/competency checklists and provides clinical orientation and/or training of new employees/students and current employees.
  10. Directs the proper storage of hazardous materials and the laboratory safety program in conjunction with the safety manager.
  11. Prepares and/or collects specimens (blood, urine, feces, or other body fluids) for analysis.
  12. Performs instrument and assay validations.
  13. Actively participates in Continuous System Improvement (CSI) and continuing education programs.
