Compass Oncology, the largest private practice cancer care center in the Pacific Northwest, is looking to add an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) at their West Cancer Center located in Tigard, OR. The APP/Physician's Assistant will support our medical oncologists in seeing patients, educating patients on treatments, and other general support to maintain the high level of care our patients are accustomed to. Physician Assistant Scope: Under supervision of the physician, provides primary care in collaborative joint practice with the physicians to patients and/or family members in the hospital setting on a regular basis, and within the practice setting as requested by physicians. Responsibilities

Physician Assistant:

Qualifications

Education:

  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

  • Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the role of the Part-Time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is to assess and evaluate patient primary and behavioral healthcare needs and provide treatment onsite throughout the community at designated clinic site locations. Based on the clinical findings, the FNP will provide medical treatment and schedule follow-up care or referral for specialty care, as needed. The FNP will serve as the primary care provider for all patients admitted to service. To maintain round-the-clock continuity of care, the FNP will assume a leadership role in the implementation of the telehealth technology that will be used to capture and store biometric clinical data, for transmission via mobile devices to the handheld, tablet, or laptop devices of the Project Team clinicians. The FNP will work in collaboration with faculty and preceptors in providing oversight for student clinical supervision.

Essential Functions:

  • Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical examinations for behavioral health and primary care disorders.
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs.
  • Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
  • Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Collaborates with the interprofessional clinic team members in the establishment of advanced practice policies, protocols and procedures.
  • Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools.
  • Ensure the continuity of care after hours and on weekends.
  • Document all clinical findings with appropriate follow up and referral.
  • Adhere to the daily clinical operations of the project.
  • Maintain national and state board certifications.
  • Attend regular staff meetings, training, off-site healthcare events, and other meetings as requested.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an earned Master of Science in nursing degree.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Certification and Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current California Furnishing number, NPI and current DEA registration number.
  • Hold and maintain current national and state board certification as a nurse practitioner from approved organization (American Nurses Credentialing Center, American Academy of Nurse Practitioner, National Certification Corporation for Obstetrics, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialty).
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and PALS (preferred).
  • Recent experience in an advanced practice nurse role.

About the Role:

The Psychiatry - Independent Practice Track is designed for innovative medical professionals who are eager to blend clinical expertise with entrepreneurial spirit. The primary goal of this role is to develop and implement new healthcare solutions that enhance patient care. Candidates will have the opportunity to establish a physician group and lead initiatives that improve operational efficiency, patient outcomes, and overall service delivery with the services of MedCBO to help facilitate both the startup and ongoing business aspects of your practice. This position not only focuses on patient care but also emphasizes the importance of strategic planning and business development within the healthcare sector as MedCBO works with you to build your practice. Ultimately, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of emergency medicine through innovative practices and solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Psychiatry.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the relevant state or region.
  • Demonstrated experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare entrepreneurship or business development.
  • Previous leadership roles in clinical settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a new physician practice with the guidance and services of MedCBO.
  • Provide high-quality medical care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the sector.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement innovative practices that improve patient care.
  • Conduct market research to understand trends and needs in healthcare services.
  • Engage with stakeholders to promote new initiatives and secure necessary resources.

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Board Certified or Residency Trained Small Animal Surgeon to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality veterinary care and possess excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships with our clients. You will work alongside a team of experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff and will work closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager.

Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center – Thousand Oaks

VSEC is a 24‑hour specialty and emergency referral hospital located in Thousand Oaks, CA. Our facility is equipped with all of the things one needs to practice excellent medicine. Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups
  • Client communication and education
  • Maintaining accurate medical records
  • Pharmacy duties such as prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols
  • Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
  • Work with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
  • Evaluate and monitor protocols for the daily running of the hospital from intake to discharge
  • Monitor cases in the hospital and attend daily rounds when possible to ensure the highest standards are being upheld
  • Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications (Required)

  • Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university
  • 1‑year rotational internship in small animal medicine, surgery, ER (university or large referral practice)
  • Completed a 3‑year, AVMA‑approved residency program
  • Current State Veterinary License
  • DEA registration must be obtained and maintained
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
  • Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and high‑quality veterinary care
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner with all members of the Medical and Hospital staff
  • Client communication skills, must be able to elicit information, establish rapport, offer explanations with pet owners
  • Display confidence and reassurance when dealing with pets experiencing severe stress, illness, or pain
  • May include some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Some tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work
  • Position does require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Board Certification
  • 2‑5 years of experience post‑residency
  • Clinical Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate clinical knowledge and skill in examining and assessing animals. Perform cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological and other necessary examinations. Diagnose and prescribe appropriate treatment
  • Problem‑Solving: Ability to develop solutions to challenges relating to the management of a high‑quality veterinary hospital
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate effective communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients. Display effective communication with internal medical and hospital staff
  • Professionalism: Work as part of a high‑quality, professional veterinary team with the ability to provide and receive appropriate constructive criticism, suggestions, and feedback
  • Business Acumen: Ability to understand the management and finances of the veterinary hospital practice
  • Ethics: Knowledge and understanding of ethical principles that guide decisions affecting patients
  • Commitment to Continuing Education: Commitment to utilize available resources of continuing education and to facilitate learning of others

Pay Range

$250,000 — $350,000 USD
