What you'll be doing:

  • Unload delivery trucks
  • Stock shelves & rollers as required
  • Operating an electric and hydraulic pallet jack, and forklift
  • Building orders for retail account delivery
  • Verify that trucks have been loaded properly
  • Sweep, stack empty pallets, and pick up stretch wrap, and dump trash barrels throughout warehouse
  • Level off pallets on load line & make sure products are left in proper location.
  • Other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:

  • Prior warehouse experience a plus, but not necessary as we train in-house
  • Ability and willingness to become certified on forklift operations
  • Must be able to learn voice pick system & work independently
  • Ability to read, write, and fundamental math skills

What You'll Do:

As a Machine Operator, you'll play a hands-on role in preparing, inspecting, and running parts through production machines. You'll work from written instructions and collaborate with team leads to ensure quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a continuous and efficient flow of parts through assigned machines while monitoring operation, quality, and detail

Position Summary

The retail Sales and Service Technician (SST) is a unique hybrid role for stores and is intended as a key pipeline for future career-growth within Firestone Complete Auto Care. This role is primarily responsible for serving the customer through assessing needs, recommending appropriate products and/or services, performing entry-level vehicle services, and ensuring customer satisfaction through thorough and timely completion of services. Successful individuals in this role will learn all aspects of store operations and effectively flex between interacting/serving the customer and efficiently completing basic vehicle service tasks as required.

Pay Range: $14.40 - $21.51

Responsibilities

Hybrid Role

  • Customer service, sales, customer issue resolution- 75%.
  • Basic vehicle service tasks, oil, tires, fluids- 25%.
  • Store operations, opening/closing, inventory, displays- as needed basis.

Growth and career development role

  • May assist Manager or act as Manager-On-Duty in certain circumstances or to support development.
  • Learn all aspects of store operations and flex between front/back shop tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid automobile driver's license.
  • Customer service and career growth mindset.
  • Ability to learn and perform basic vehicle service tasks.
  • Ability to learn and operate store systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 year degree or non-traditional education through training program completion, certification, or other exhibiting the growth mindset that is needed in this candidate.
  • Previous consumer retail sales experience.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of all knots, ropes and rigging devices used in tree trimming and removal operations.
  • Must be able to identify tree species
  • Must be familiar with electrical hazards and appropriate operating procedures when in proximity to electrical conductors and aerial techniques in the event of an emergency aloft
  • Must be able to work and maneuver at considerable heights under varying and adverse weather conditions
  • Must possess physical strength and agility, good balance, good depth perception and the ability to hear verbal instructions from a distance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR
  • Must be able to administer and implement emergency rescue techniques, including tree rescue and all applicable first aid techniques
  • Must be able to quickly remove yourself from a potential danger area
  • Must be able to wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Must be able to travel out of town for storm restoration work when needed

This position requires employee to be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job.
