Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the HUSD Vision, Mission, and Goals.

  • Provides leadership, coordination, and participation in the development of curriculum and the implementation of instructional strategies, evaluating programs and services on a regular basis to encourage the use of a variety of instructional strategies and materials consistent with research on learning and child growth and development and HUSD governing board policy.
  • Maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders and communicates effectively.
  • Ensures that all licensing standards and requirements set by the State of Arizona as set forth in the rules for the licensing of child‑care facilities are met.
  • Works to increase and maintain enrollment at each ECD center and develops and maintains an annual budget for Early Childhood Development Centers.

  • Partners with Quality First in providing quality early learning through leading ongoing improvement efforts, following policies and participation requirement, and communicating information and goals with stakeholders.
  • Develops and provides staff development in curriculum areas and effective instructional strategies.

Summary Objective
