Car Rental Manager

UIC Car Rental is seeking a Car Rental Manager to oversee daily rental operations, including managing reservations, processing vehicle returns, and ensuring a positive customer experience. This position is responsible for coordinating rental logistics, maintaining service standards, and greeting and assisting customers in a professional and friendly manner.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

  • Oversee the daily operations of UIC Car Rental, including supervision of staff, scheduling, and ensuring adequate coverage.
  • Manage customer service activities such as vehicle check-ins and check-outs, addressing inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Support the planning and execution of sales promotions and marketing activities.
  • Respond to 24-hour emergency callouts for car rental customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Description

  • Invoice New/Used Truck sales for all dealership locations

  • Process state tax and exemption forms for all New/Used truck sales
  • Complete Assignment of Proceed paperwork where needed
  • Maintain vehicle sale records, ensuring that deal jackets are complete
  • Cross-trains others for this position as directed by management
  • Fills in for other administrative positions as needed and directed by management
  • Assists with related special projects as required

Education and/or required experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

What You'll Do


Core Duties


  • Perform a wide variety of laboratory tests manually and/or using automated laboratory instrumentation.
  • Evaluate quality-control information against established measurable criteria when performing laboratory tests.
  • Receive and process written laboratory test requisitions.
  • Obtain laboratory specimens and provide guidance regarding proper specimen-collection procedures.
  • Observe test reactions, color changes, precipitate formation, and other test results.
  • Operate automated analyzing equipment to perform qualitative and quantitative analyses.
  • Bring unusual or significantly abnormal test results to the attention of the section supervisor, pathologist, or laboratory supervisor.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of laboratory work areas, including appropriate disposal of waste and autoclaving of specimens.
  • Participate in required quality-control and CAP proficiency-testing programs.
  • Follow infection-control procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and appropriate disposal of laboratory waste.
  • Participate in required equipment training, in-service programs, and continuing medical education.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow established laboratory safety practices.
  • Assist with training laboratory personnel and supporting laboratory training programs.
  • Participate in the frozen blood program, including tasks related to glycerolization and deglycerolization of blood.


What You'll Need — Mandatory Qualifications


Education: Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Technician program.

Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant laboratory experience.

Certification: Current certification through ASCP or AMT.

Life Support Certification: Current BLS certification.

Security: Ability to successfully complete a required government background check.
