Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Ultrasound Tech Perinatal PRN for our practice who provides specialized expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:

  • Applies fetal ultrasound principles in the evaluation of fetal anomalies
  • Applies gynecological ultrasound principles in the evaluation of patient
  • Adapts to various ultrasound machines while maintaining high standards of sonography
  • Identifies fetal anomalies, such as CNS, maxillofacial, cardiothoracic, abdomen, abdomen wall, genitourinary, extremity placental, umbilical cord growth disturbance
  • Performs ultrasounds on maternal uterus, cervix and ovaries
  • Performs complicated twin and triplet scans in conjunction with in-office multiple gestation service
  • Identifies gynecological anomalies such as fibroids, thickened endometrium and polyps
  • Makes preliminary, equivocal diagnosis of gynecological and fetal disorders in the organ systems mentioned in above
  • Operates General Electric, Accuson, Medison, and ATL ultrasound machines with proficiency.
  • Continues to expand knowledge of latest technology
  • Maintains ultrasound logging records including past medical history, past surgical history, past obstetric history, and past genetic history.
  • Prepares patients for procedures including and not limited to Level I &II ultrasounds, amniocentesis, lung maturity amniocentesis, PUBS, amino reduction, external cephalic version, and GYN ultrasound
  • Maintains professional relationship with other staff members, other obstetric offices and hospital personnel
  • Exercises independent judgement when interpreting Biophysical Profiles designed to assess fetal well-being
  • Alerts physicians of potentially dangerous conditions. Diagnoses fetal weight disturbances based on fetal biometry
  • Diagnoses multiple fetal anomalies and reports and demonstrates them to physician
  • Other duties as assigned

What Qualifications you will need:

  • Associates degree in Ultrasound required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • RDMS required
  • RDMS – OB/GYN preferred

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain orderly operation and safety of all areas of responsibility; ensure that sales policies and procedures are being properly carried out at the store level
  • Through sales floor leadership, ensure all customer issues are resolved in a timely manner and in alignment with company policy
  • Consistently achieve customer satisfaction, sales, productivity, payroll and expense goals
  • Ensure the execution of ad set and visual merchandising standards
  • Provide regular coaching and feedback to supervisors and ensure sales goals and results are communicated to all associates throughout the store
  • Review P&L statements with the General Manager on a monthly basis to identify areas of concern; recommend and implement sales improvement plans
  • Participate in and lead open and close procedures
  • Serve as manager-in-charge during the absence of the General Manager or other store managers
  • Manage all freight flow and merchandise processing, including regular cycle counts and tracking of company assets through inventory control
  • Manage staffing, orientation and training to ensure competent supervisors and associates are hired,  trained and scheduled to properly service our customers
  • Develop and coach supervisors and sales associates in all departments in the areas of product knowledge, solution selling, standard operating procedures and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure Human Resources issues are handled in accordance with guidelines; partner with Regional HR Manager and Store Manager when needed
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience with a major big box retailer in a high-volume, 30,000+ square-foot store, preferably in a commissioned sales environment or within the consumer electronics industry
  • A college degree is preferred
  • Previous experience in all aspects of retail management: driving sales, merchandising, operations, freight flow and customer service
  • Experience in human resources functions and capable of hiring, retaining and coaching qualified employees
  • Ability to execute corporate initiatives and analyze the competition
  • Physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs., stand for prolonged periods of time

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain orderly operation and safety of all areas of responsibility; ensure that sales policies and procedures are being properly carried out at the store level
  • Through sales floor leadership, ensure all customer issues are resolved in a timely manner and in alignment with company policy
  • Consistently achieve customer satisfaction, sales, productivity, payroll and expense goals
  • Ensure the execution of ad set and visual merchandising standards
  • Provide regular coaching and feedback to supervisors and ensure sales goals and results are communicated to all associates throughout the store
  • Review P&L statements with the General Manager on a monthly basis to identify areas of concern; recommend and implement sales improvement plans
  • Participate in and lead open and close procedures
  • Serve as manager-in-charge during the absence of the General Manager or other store managers
  • Manage all freight flow and merchandise processing, including regular cycle counts and tracking of company assets through inventory control
  • Manage staffing, orientation and training to ensure competent supervisors and associates are hired,  trained and scheduled to properly service our customers
  • Develop and coach supervisors and sales associates in all departments in the areas of product knowledge, solution selling, standard operating procedures and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure Human Resources issues are handled in accordance with guidelines; partner with Regional HR Manager and Store Manager when needed
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience with a major big box retailer in a high-volume, 30,000+ square-foot store, preferably in a commissioned sales environment or within the consumer electronics industry
  • A college degree is preferred
  • Previous experience in all aspects of retail management: driving sales, merchandising, operations, freight flow and customer service
  • Experience in human resources functions and capable of hiring, retaining and coaching qualified employees
  • Ability to execute corporate initiatives and analyze the competition
  • Physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs., stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Shifts include hours before and after the store is open to the public and may also include mornings, nights, weekends and holidays

What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform general labor duties including cleaning, shoveling, and material handling

  • Operate hand tools and assist with equipment maintenance

  • Support plant operations and production teams as needed

  • Follow all safety procedures and report hazards promptly

  • Assist with loading/unloading and site organization tasks
