Compensation: The hourly pay range for this position is $35.54 to $53.31 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, geographic location, and other job-related factors.

Schedule: Swing Shift- 10 hour shifts:

Sunday through Wednesday- 1:00pm to 11:30pm OR

Wednesday through Saturday- 1:00pm to 11:30pm

Employment Logistics: The Maintenance Technician II supports the safe and reliable operation of equipment and facilities by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, and repairing conveyors and sortation equipment. This role drives corrective actions that improve equipment reliability and reduces downtime.

The Must-Haves:

Your Mission in Motion:

  • Ensure proper operation of conveyor systems and material handling equipment to keep operations running smoothly, responding in a timely manner to all material handling systems breakdowns.
  • Maintain and provide routine preventive maintenance to conveyor systems.
  • Change and repair parts of conveyor systems, rebuild and align equipment, gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts.
  • Use illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Perform housekeeping duties, including work area clean-up, conveyor and equipment clean-up, and other general duties as assigned.
  • Conduct daily inspections of machinery for potential problems.
  • May be called in after hours to ensure conveyor systems are working at optimum capacity.
  • Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
  • Most work is performed independently, but you will need to tap the shoulder of another OnTrac maintenance team member, we work as a team!

Paving your way to your success:

  • You learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions to perform primary duties.
  • You have knowledge of Material Handling Systems (MHS), industrial conveyor systems and controls, VFDs, PLC, Electronic motors (480V). Programming, GUI and or HMI experience.
  • You know LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), PM's (Preventative Maintenance), and 3-Phase electrical work.
  • You read and understand schematics and electrical blueprints.
  • You have solid mechanical skills and industrial electrical knowledge.
  • You know OSHA requirements.
  • You are flexible to accommodate 24-hour operations, occasionally working extended hours or weekends and holidays as needed.
  • You demonstrate good time management skills and can work independently or on a team.

Load and unload aircraft of cargo weighing up to 70 lbs. in and out of aircraft within confined cargo areas, push, pull, and position loaded containers weighing up to 3,200 lbs. on rollers with/to aircraft. Driving vehicles with gross weights of 3,000 to 80,000 lbs. in areas congested with aircraft, moving and stationary vehicles and equipment as well as positioning vehicle up to aircraft requiring depth perception and the ability to distinguish colors, red, green, and yellow. Engage in push-out of aircraft driving 80,000 lb. vehicle or assist by providing guide function to driver using depth perception in congested areas or speaking to cockpit during push-back procedure. Transport cargo to and from aircraft driving 3,000 lb. vehicle using depth perception to negotiate vehicle with attached carts through congested area. Read "off-load" sheets to determine destination of cargo. While performing aircraft push-out and/or towing functions, engage in proper specific ground to cockpit. Pull water hose from stationary cabinet and connect to aircraft. Lift, connect overhead and remove overhead, 40 lb. KVA electric cable to/from aircraft.

Minimum Requirements HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid driver's license. Ability to successfully communicate with others.

Preferred Skills Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language. Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays, and days off.

Working Conditions and Tools
  • Daily travel within designated sales territory.

Typical Physical Activity
  • Physical Demands/Requirements consist of standing, sitting, walking, stooping, driving, grasping, moving equipment, pushing, pulling, reading, speaking, hearing, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
Typical Environmental Conditions
  • Vehicles on public roads, inside general offices, customer locations, areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, Service Center or depot.
Travel Requirements
  • Daily, driving by vehicle within a designated sales territory.
Requirements Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, ability to comprehend and follow direction, as well as strong time management skills.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding, safety or other violations.
  • Recognize colors, sizes and types of product. Count, add and subtract accurately.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in a team environment.
  • College degree preferred or two years of outside sales experience.
