You will support the Employment Practices Legal team by working with and supporting attorneys and senior paralegals by managing the legal intake process, assisting with reporting, and facilitating record collection efforts. This position will be in-office in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Essential Duties

  • Perform initial intake of cases including creation of case in Legal Tracker, assignment to appropriate case manager, and coordination with relevant business contact.
  • Coordinate responses to demand letters, subpoenas and discovery requests, including responsibility for communicating with personnel and collecting and producing responsive documentation.
  • Generate regularly scheduled client reports, status updates, and ad hoc reporting as required by project parameters or upon request.
  • Assist in drafting responses to administrative case claims and charges (EEOC, DOL, DIR, CCRD) and attend DIR hearings.
  • Monitor and support case management activity, escalating issues and deadlines to case manager as appropriate
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards with authorization assignment and requesting of records
  • Other paralegal and administrative projects as outlined by supervisor.

Education and/or Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in either litigation defense or in-house at large corporation.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Paralegal certificate highly desirable
  • Knowledge of key U.S. employment laws such as EEO, FMLA, ADA, ADEA and wage and hour laws a plus

Pay Rate: $26.00 - $33.00 hourly

The SIOP Planner is responsible for proactive demand forecasting and supply planning across Wheeler Machinery's machine population including whole machine rebuilds, major component rebuilds, and field parts support. This role directly supports company-wide objectives by unlocking revenue for the go-to-market team through reliable machine availability and on-time, in-full delivery (OTIF); through optimized inventory positioning; and by eliminating reactive expedite and carrying costs. By shifting planning from reactive backorder management to proactive, data-driven forecasting identifying component-level supply risk in advance of need, aligning inventory with Caterpillar's Plan for Every Serial Number (PRISM/PLESN) methodology, and protecting machine availability and OTIF performance at strategic accounts this role becomes the lynchpin between sales' revenue commitments and supply chain's cash-flow discipline.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) Earthmoving Focus
  • Lead and facilitate the SIOP process for the earthmoving verticals (RI and CI), integrating machine demand forecasts, component-level inventory requirements, and operational capacity into a single, executable plan.
  • Develop and maintain proactive demand forecasts for earthmoving machine builds, major component rebuilds, and high-consumption field parts, using PRISM/PLESN (Plan for Every Serial Number) demand signals and historical/BI data.
  • Identify component-level supply constraints and risks at least 90 days in advance of production or service need, reconciling demand plans with supply capabilities to prevent reactive backorders.

Inventory Management & Supply Chain Optimization

  • Develop and execute inventory strategies that balance service levels, working capital, and operational efficiency across the earthmoving machine population (RI and CI).
  • Generate stocking recommendations and inventory positioning guidance, reducing excess and obsolete (D-classification) inventory while protecting availability on strategic accounts.
  • Partner with Caterpillar and internal stakeholders to maintain PLESN compliance targets for earthmoving machine rebuilds.
  • Identify and execute supply chain improvements prioritizing orders, optimizing lead times, and partnering with suppliers on freight optimization and emergency-fee reduction.

Backorder Management and Supplier Collaboration

  • Proactively identify and resolve potential supply gaps before they surface as customer-facing backorders, particularly on strategic accounts.
  • Monitor machine availability and backorder performance, implementing corrective actions and recovery plans for critical shortages.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal stakeholders, product support, and branch teams on machine availability, component status, and recovery timelines.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner with the Sr. Backorder Analyst, Supply Chain Supervisor, and Internal Stakeholders to align planning priorities with go-to-market strategy.
  • Facilitate decision-making regarding inventory investment, machine availability, and customer service objectives, and support strategic business planning with earthmoving supply chain insights for leadership, while managing DSI and inventory turn initiatives.

Reporting, Analytics & Performance Management

  • Develop, analyze, and present KPIs related to earthmoving supply chain and inventory performance, including machine availability, OTIF, PLESN compliance, fill rate, inventory turns, forecast accuracy, and excess/obsolete inventory value.
  • Prepare regular reports and executive summaries highlighting trends, risks, and recommended actions to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and present business cases for inventory investments (new part introductions, safety stock increases, major component/rebuild positioning), quantifying OTIF impact, working capital requirements, and return on investment; escalate recommendations to the Supply Chain Supervisor and Supply Chain Manager for approval based on established dollar thresholds.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of experience will be considered.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, supply chain planning, S&OP/SIOP, or related disciplines preferred.
  • Experience with heavy equipment, mining, or aftermarket parts environments highly desirable; familiarity with Caterpillar's PRISM/PLESN systems and methodology strongly preferred.
  • Experience with DBS/AS400 type systems as well as CAT SIS 2.0, SIMSI, TMI, MPI and other related Caterpillar systems are desirable.

What You Will Do:

Reporting to the Program Director, the primary focus of the College Access Advisor is on effectively serving a caseload of college aspiring high school seniors using the Bottom Line LEAD (Lists, Essays, Applications, Decisions) Model. The College Access Advisor helps students identify college options, write application essays, submit applications, complete financial aid and application requirements, analyze acceptances and award packages, and make a responsible college choice. Advisors are also active participants in efforts to recruit and onboard each new cohort of students. The College Access Advisor tracks and records student progress in our database using both quantitative and qualitative data. Advisors are expected to build advising skills and learn the Bottom Line program model and expectations for supporting a caseload of students, with an opportunity for a performance-based promotion to Senior Advisor after their first full year as an Advisor. Training and professional development in the Advisor role is focused on the Bottom Line curriculum and student services, as well as Bottom Line Foundations.

Direct Student Support - 70%

  • Provide one-on-one guidance to a caseload of 60 - 65 high school seniors
    1. College Lists
      • Coach each student towards a college list that meets Access Program standards, is individualized to that student, and is in line with admissions and affordability data
      • Adjust admissions chances based on changes to student academic profile throughout the year
    2. Essays
      • Help each student brainstorm, revise, and finalize college essays by utilizing both in person and remote support tools
    3. Applications
      • Design individualized service plans to ensure each student submits complete, high-quality college applications by institutional priority deadlines
      • Support students in identifying and completing missing/additional application materials throughout the Winter and Spring
    4. Financial Aid/Decision Making
      • Guide students (in person or remotely) to submit FAFSA and/or CSS Profile by institutional priority deadlines
      • Identify and support students selected for federal income and/or citizenship verification
      • Identify students eligible for a variety of scholarships
      • Explain financial aid award data to each student, and coach them to make a financially responsible college decision
      • Support students with submitting a deposit to a college by May 1st
  • Maintain ongoing communication with all students on caseload
    1. Lead 60-minute meetings for 15 - 20 students per week at the Bottom Line office, a high school campus, or other off-site locations throughout the region
    2. Respond to all student text/calls/emails within 2 business days
    3. Develop individualized communication plans to ensure students remain engaged with the program and meet deadlines
  • Help students resolve general obstacles that come up throughout the school year by coaching them on self-advocacy and resourcefulness skills

Caseload & Data Management – 20%

  • Track and record student progress in our database, using both quantitative and qualitative measures
    1. Enter data into the database within 3 business days of a student interaction or status change
    2. Maintain accurate student contact information in the student database
    3. Enter and update data for students applying to Bottom Line and/or transitioning into the Success Program
  • Manage a caseload of 60 - 65 high school students, including, but not limited to:
    1. Schedule all student meetings on a weekly, or as needed, basis
    2. Manage time and calendar to meet minimum number of meetings per week and minimum number of meetings per student per year
    3. Align meetings to student process, ensuring adequate progress is being made and driving towards individual student deadlines
    4. Ensure all students adhere to individual and institutional deadlines

Student Recruitment - 5%

  • Build understanding and excitement about Bottom Line with prospective students via group presentations, workshops, and tabling events; support students in filling out the online application
  • Support a caseload of applicants through the Bottom Line application process by processing student applications, making phone calls, and answering questions about the process and the program
  • Onboard students into the Access program via phone calls, group events, and scheduling 1:1 meetings

Program & Organizational Support - 5%

  • Support the Development team by attending events, networking with guests / supporters, and providing event logistics as needed
  • Support planning and staff of Access Program events, including but not limited to, student workshops and the core program events
  • Additional program support as assigned by supervisor
  • Represent the Bottom Line brand in a positive light, and take actions to increase brand awareness throughout the community

Work Schedule:

***We operate under an in-person first, hybrid program approach which includes a combination of in-person and virtual work. There will be periods during the year when remote work is more feasible, with in-person work ranging from 30-90%.***

College Access Advisors are non-exempt, overtime eligible staff and work an 8.5 hour shift, including a daily ½ hour unpaid meal/rest break to comply with FLSA. There will be times throughout the year when an advisor will be expected to work additional hours and/or flex their schedule to meet our students' needs. This can include 8 AM starts to comply with the school day or 11:30 – 7:30 PM schedules to accommodate meeting with students afterschool.

Expected Travel:

Up to 50%, local travel

This role involves travel, commuting to locations readily accessible to students. In-person services may happen at the Bottom Line office, a high school campus, or other off-site locations throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership:
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to the CEO, helping to guide, communicate, and execute the organization's strategic and financial vision across all departments. 
  • Lead the development of short- and long-term financial goals and objectives aligned with the organization's strategic plan. 
  • Develop performance indicators and measurement systems for tracking progress against strategic plan objectives; evaluate and redesign business models where necessary. 
  • Prepare financial reports for the Executive Director, Directors, and Board of Directors. 
  • Anticipate emerging business needs, sector trends, and economic developments and translate their implications into actionable organizational plans.

Financial Planning & Oversight:
  • Develop and maintain the agency's financial operations in alignment with the organization's policies and strategic goals.

  • Lead the annual audit process, including coordination with external auditors and preparation of all relevant financial materials for the timely completion of the organization's annual audit and IRS Form 990.

  • Develop and maintain a trusting, productive relationship with Board members; regularly present monthly financial reports, year-to-date financials, and the multiyear financial forecast. 
  • Work directly with the Finance Committee to develop policies, monitor implementation, and address the Board's financial oversight needs. 
  • Recommend changes in strategy, policy, and program operations to achieve the organization's strategic and financial objectives. 
  • Build compelling financial narratives that support the annual budget approval process and quarterly Board reporting. 

Team Leadership & Development:
  • Lead, manage, and develop the Finance team, driving continuous process improvement and high performance across the function. 
  • Establish individual performance goals, conduct regular one-on-ones, and foster a culture of accountability, growth, and professional development. 
  • Communicate organizational standards, policy changes, and strategic priorities to ensure the team is aligned, focused, and prepared to meet departmental goals. 
  • Supervise the Comptroller and provide oversight of day-to-day financial operations carried out by the finance team.

 Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred. 
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including prior CFO, VP of Finance, or Comptroller experience. 
  • Demonstrated experience in nonprofit finance, including fund accounting, grant management, and federal/state compliance reporting. 
  • Proven ability to translate complex financial information into clear strategic guidance for executive and board-level audiences. 
  • Track record of leading and developing high-performing finance teams. 
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, audit processes, and nonprofit regulatory requirements. 
  • Experience working with IRS 501(c)(3) organizations and knowledge of fund accounting strongly preferred. 
  • Superior written and oral communication skills; ability to interact professionally with Senior Management and Board of Directors.
