Supervise: Lead and encourage a Workers Compensation claims team handling a variety of caseload sizes and complexities to deliver high-quality and efficient service. Supervisor/Dispatch

The Supervisor/Dispatch is responsible for overseeing the staff and daily operations of the Dispatch function in one or more operating divisions of Southwest Gas Corporation. This position is responsible for leading the department in achieving high levels of communication quality, productivity, and safety standards while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and all federal/state regulations. Reporting to this position are up to 15 non-exempt staff personnel. In this job, the incumbent must be able to influence internal customers and management. The incumbent also frequently exchanges information with department heads outside of Dispatch operations and professional level personnel and may exchange information with external customers and the public. The incumbent infrequently exchanges information with senior management.

There are clear precedents and practices which the incumbent uses to determine how this job is performed. This position requires four to six years of relevant work experience.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee department activities to ensure quality, productivity, and safety standards are met while leading the department to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction and employee morale
  • Coordinate changes to standards, policies, procedures, and work processes to ensure consistency throughout the operating divisions, cost effectiveness, increased efficiencies, and customer and public safety; remain current with related technology and promote a high level of performance
  • Monitor and evaluate real-time operations and incidents to ensure optimal response time is achieved, engaging the appropriate escalation procedures and notifying the appropriate level(s) of management as necessary
  • Monitor and coordinate workload scheduling to ensure adequate resource availability
  • Investigate, resolve, and respond to customer complaints and inquiries via direct communication, including inquiries directly related to Dispatcher and/or Department performance received from internal management
  • Conduct post incident reviews of Dispatch activities and Department performance and provide incident documentation in compliance with Company policies and procedures
  • Perform regular quality control reviews of dispatcher adherence to Company and Department policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Coordinate, conduct, and monitor special studies related to Dispatch and assist in gathering Dispatch-related information in response to data requests
  • Represent the Dispatch department by acting as a subject matter expert on project teams
  • Assist with the preparation of the department three-year budget plan
  • Ensure employees remain current on mandatory Company training
  • Lead, motivate, train, and evaluate staff members
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job

Front End Specialist

The front end specialist will increase customer confidence and loyalty by providing accurate, fast and friendly customer service and execution of front end processes. This role will satisfactorily resolve customer and cash concerns or escalate them to appropriate level of management.

Primary responsibilities and accountabilities include:

  • Support the department manager with the management of inventory, in-stock position, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, security, expense control and other operational processes to company standards.
  • Ensure the store's front end opens or closes properly with the shift's monetary transactions reconciled according to company policies and procedures with discrepancies explained.
  • Oversee daily store accounting functions (including those for self-checkouts, when applicable); perform and report weekly closeouts.
  • Determine and order an appropriate amount of money for daily business.

  • Stock front end products; restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and to maintain the lowest supply cost.
  • Exhibit professional telephone etiquette and ensure connection to the appropriate department or team member.
  • Ensure discarded or returned merchandise is put up.
  • Keep work area clean, orderly and free from safety hazards; report faulty equipment and hazards to management.
  • Perform cashier and pricing team member duties, as necessary.
  • Notify management of abnormal customer or vendor behavior, team member theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized mark-downs, property defacement, or any action that is illegal and/or against company policy or a possible security threat.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Proven performance as a SEG associate in the customer service area; or one (1) year management or supervisory experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hotels or general business.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
  • Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
  • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.

Preferred qualifications include:

Occupational Therapist

Evaluates the patient's physical, perceptual, cognitive, social, and vocational abilities and their impact on the patient's activities of daily living. Conducts an occupational therapy evaluation of each patient and establishes a plan of care and treatment. Maintains and updates accurate clinical and patient records according to state and federal guidelines.

Plans and implements individual treatment to re-train and teach compensatory techniques for residual disability in activities of daily living, adapted homemaking techniques, bathroom transfers, functional application of mobility skills and, when appropriate, training in adapted work methods.

Discusses caseload issues and changes in case census with management. Communicates problems to physicians and management and clearly states plans, actions and goals so changes are reflected as they occur.

Communicates with physicians and other team members to confirm and update patient plan of treatment and provides physician with status report on a regular basis.

Manages assigned caseload, including scheduling and informing site leadership of coverage needs and ability to provide coverage. Manages the patient's medical condition including medications.

Teaches appropriate treatment procedures and supportive activities to patients and caregivers, and develops plan for obtaining adaptive devices as needed. Recommends adaptive equipment and provides usage training as needed. Acts as a patient advocate to insure optimal outcomes.

May manage the caseload of Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA), including evaluating their patients, insuring compliance with the established Care Plan and adhering to all State of Wisconsin regulations regarding OTA supervision.

May assist with evaluating patients, turning the patient over to the OTA and informing them of the Plan of Care (POC) per State of Wisconsin regulations.

Provides on-going assessment of patient response to treatments, and teaches and applies interventions as appropriate. Updates and revises plan of care as indicated and provides physician with a status report on a regular basis. Participates in chart audits and continuous quality improvement activities.

Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.

Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.

Occupational Therapist license issued by the state of Wisconsin, and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, and a valid drivers license issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles.

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.

Typically requires 3 years of experience in occupational therapy within an acute hospital, home health care, or other relevant environment.

Responsibilities

Greet every customer with a smile and run the register with accuracy and speed

Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales ensuring compliance with all age verification and legal requirements

Offer friendly service and upsell customers when possible to increase sales

Keep the inside and outside of the store clean and safe, including:

  • Deep cleaning high-use restrooms
  • Wiping down and sanitizing gas pumps (nozzles, screens, water buckets)
  • Picking up litter and trash from the floor and lot area
  • Taking out the trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather

Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise looking fresh and full

Maintain a clean and organized store sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways

Willingly cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed

Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older if located in AR, CT, FL, LA, MI, MA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TX, TN, AZ, and CO. For all other states, must be 21 years of age or older.

Availability: Must be able to work weekends and holidays, embracing the full rhythm of retail.

Willingness: Be prepared to work hard and stay on your feet for most of your shift. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.

Math Proficiency: Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.

Summary: Prepares food and serves customers at the grill station in accordance with current applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Takes orders from customer and prepares items requiring short preparation. Completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations.
  • Serves customers in an efficient, friendly manner following established steps of service meeting outlined standards. Ensures food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items.
  • Uses established ticket-collection procedures during service. Responsible for records from area worked during service periods.
  • Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
  • Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from workstations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with established safety standards.
  • Stores foods in designated areas following standard wrapping, dating and food safety and rotation procedures.
  • Cleans, sanitizes and maintains all assigned work areas, equipment and utensils to ensure sanitation standards are met.
  • Resolves customer concerns and reports relevant information and concerns to supervisor.
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings.
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.

The Residential Manager is directly responsible for ensuring the creation of a safe and healthy environment that fosters communication, a sense of well-being, empowerment and support to the individuals supported by the program. The Residential Manager is responsible for overall management of the residential site they supervise and all staff working in the site. The Residential Manager will provide direct supervision of the Staff , the Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in the site. The Residential Manager is part of the ratio (working 40 hours a week directly on-site) and will act as a role model for employees regarding the expectations of how the job duties should be performed, the attitude to maintain while at work and appropriate interactions with the individuals and other professionals.

Essential Duties and Functions

Staff Supervision

  • This role is 24/7 On-call.
  • Provide front line supervision of all site staff.
  • Meet regularly with and provide supervision to each site employee to provide skill training and mentoring that supports staff development and document and address any identified needs for improvement.
  • Manage site scheduling including all callouts, no-shows and time-off requests to provide coverage as needed.
  • Interview and make recommendations regarding new DSP candidates
  • Participate in and attend all planning and team meetings for each consumer.

Programming

  • Respond appropriately to crisis situations by notifying the appropriate persons, completing/submitting incident reports.
  • Report any medical concerns to the unit leadership and/or agency nurse immediately.
  • Develop and coordinate the planning of monthly consumer activities and ensure implementation, providing required funds.
  • Overall day to day Management of units and sites as prescribed in ISP or treatment plans.

Administrative

  • Manage, monitor, and reconcile all site and consumer-related expenditures.
  • Oversee the maintenance, upkeep and safety of the physical site and site vehicles, reporting needed repairs, upkeep and conditions to the Unit Director.
  • Monitor and ensure the timely completion of all site documentation (logs, medications, inventories, incident reports, assessments, progress van logs etc.) and communicate issues and/or problems directly to Program Director.
  • Ensure home is prepared for State licensing visits including consumer files, medication records, and physical site.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 5-6 years’ experience working with adults with IDD/Behavioral Mental Health in group home capacity.
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the appropriate regulations, Advancing Opportunities values and program policies and procedures.
  • Basic computer and internet literacy with the ability to utilize applications like emails, time recording and other programs to enter and retrieve data as necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Valid Driver’s License and personal vehicle with state minimum liability insurance coverage.
  • Subject to employment screenings, including FBI clearance, if applicable.
  • Successful completion of Physical/ TB test.
