Typical Responsibilities

The Juneau Aquatics Division offers a team-oriented workplace with a shared goal of enriching the Juneau community through aquatic exercise, recreation and wellness.

The Parks & Recreation Department is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant who would assist the Aquatics Manager and Pool Supervisors in overseeing administrative functions and customer service at our pools. You would be assisting the public with program and rental questions, requests and inquiries via phone, email and in-person regarding aquatic services. This position is also responsible for assisting aquatic management in multiple administrative and financial functions such as cash handling, updating budget spreadsheets and assisting with tracking and purchasing inventory for both pools.

It is important you have excellent customer service skills, the ability to multi-task and work well in a work environment with frequent interruptions.

Other duties you can expect are maintaining and updating the department's point-of-sale system, including submitting daily deposits to the Treasury department, updating and managing user accounts, transactions and reservations. You will provide administrative support to the Augustus Brown Pool and the Dimond Park Aquatic Center as well as assisting with the training of front desk staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Day Center Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) is to perform ADL's and activities within the scope of practice of a Certified Nursing Assistant such as clinical observation, clinical reporting requirements, participant laundry, participant care training and education. Job Summary

  • Complete written documentation daily that reflects the individual’s recovery and progress on their goals as well as staff interventions.
  • Assist and oversee individuals with medication regimen including PRN medications.
