This Senior ED Technician opportunity is per diem and offers a convenient schedule. We are looking for a dynamic individual that will assist with direct patient care needs based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of the registered nurse. Maintains environment that is prepared for patient care.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides supportive care to the Emergency Dept patients under the direct supervision of the registered nurse or physician.
- Takes, documents, and reports vital signs. Reports abnormal results immediately to the registered nurse.

Responsibilities
Location: The Patient Care Assistant will be hired to work at either the Saint Marys Hospital or Rochester Methodist Hospital Campus.
The Patient Care Assistant assists patient care unit staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care, which support nursing practice under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Carries out designated activities that are within those functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel.
The skills and responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) align closely with those of a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) and Patient Care Technician (PCT), making this a great opportunity for those with CNA experience.
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age prior to start date. Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand English. Ability to follow written and verbal directions.

The Transplant Coordinator Nurse is accountable for the coordination of all aspects of care for the transplant patient population. Assesses and plans in collaboration with the patient, caregiver, and multidisciplinary healthcare team to meet needs across the care continuum. Assesses data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interprets information relative to the patient's age-specific needs. Provides patient and family education on a consistent basis. - Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience preferred.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting. Demonstrated leadership ability and interpersonal effectiveness required. Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment. Strong communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and computer skills required.

Responsibilities
The registered nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. The RN will function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. The ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice provide a basis for the practice of the RN. The RN provides leadership through activities such as preceptor role, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts. The RN delegates patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability and availability of resources. The RN possesses excellent communication skills; is skillful in mentoring and teaching; and may participate on committees or projects. Qualifications
Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program, as recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
All entry-level associate degree registered nurses with a RN start date of April 1, 2020 and after must provide documented evidence of program completion of the baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program within five years from the last day of the month of the RN start date.

Responsibilities
The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) assists nursing staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care which support and complement nursing practice under the supervision of a registered nurse. At a minimum, the PCA carries out designated skills that are within those functions of a certified nursing assistant, as defined by the Arizona State Board of Nursing. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR required 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year.
