What We Look For

Compensation packages at Scale for eligible roles include base salary, equity, and benefits. Nature of Role

The Senior Software Engineer is based at Nabsys’ Providence, RI headquarters (hybrid) and plays a central role in developing the instrument control software for the OhmX instrument platform, a novel technology in the next‑generation sequencing space focused on high‑resolution DNA mapping. The work spans three areas: maintaining the current product software, which is written in LabVIEW; developing supporting software tools; and developing the next generation of instrument software on a text‑based stack, with AI coding agents accelerating the effort. Beyond hands‑on development, this engineer will take a leading role in advancing the instrument team’s software development maturity.

Responsibilitie

• Use AI coding tools (the team has standardized on Claude) to accelerate development, testing, and documentation.

What qualifications will make you successful

• Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 5–10 years of position-related experience
• Minimum 2 years of customer-facing experience in a technical sales support role
• Experience in sizing and design of fans, condenser coils, evaporators, heat exchangers, pumps, and other hydronic and refrigeration components using simulation tools
• Experience with liquid and air-cooling systems for data center systems

• Build, optimize, and maintain conceptual and logical data models and database architecture in support of operational and analytics systems.
