We seek a Senior Project Manager to manage the flow of projects, from inception through completion, and distribute work to keep all managers productive.

This is a salaried, full time position with benefits.

Position Overview : We are seeking a licensed professional engineer, with experience managing multiple, fast turnaround projects, that require extensive client coordination and high-level consulting. This position serves clients nationwide. The Senior Project Manager will oversee all other project managers for the firm.

Additional duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform and oversee the analysis and design of structures to mitigate the effects of explosive loading.
  • Develop mitigating measures to enhance life-safety and operational continuity objectives, with attention to maintaining architectural integrity, building accessibility, constructability, and cost controls.
  • Manage five to seven people. Work closely with New York and Wash, DC office.
  • Work with project design and security teams to create thoughtful and integrated solutions designed to meet multiple purposes.
  • Prepare high quality reports which are well written, technically accurate, and with clear graphics summarizing results.
  • Perform project management tasks, including fee proposal development, invoicing, supervising technical and managerial staff, and interacting with clients.
  • Business development geared toward forwarding the overall goals of the firm, in areas which are consistent with personal interests and strengths.
  • Standardize processes and procedures throughout the offices.
  • Travel for site visits, client and prospective client meetings on average about five days per month.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

The company realizes that every interested candidate might not have all of the desired experience, and some training will be provided, but here is what they are looking for in terms of experience and skills… the more you have, the better!

Minimum of seven to ten years of professional experience in a civil/structural engineering firm. Minimum of five years of project management experience and people management.

  • Experience in structural analysis, performance-based design, construction, risk management, and project life-cycle.
  • Strong personal project portfolio, including government work and/or major office building projects, is a plus.

  • Must be able to obtain a DSS (Defense Security Service) clearance.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

Licensed Professional Engineer.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering.

Master’s degree is preferred.
