Under AHN Prehospital Care Services, Canonsburg EMS provides emergency and non-emergency care across Washington County, PA: Canonsburg Borough, Chartiers Township, Donegal Township and Houston Borough

General Overview

This job provides emergency medical care to the sick and injured patients in the prehospital and hospital environment; effectively communicates with all persons and departments involved in the administration of emergency medical care. Performs basic and advanced EMS skills which include interventions and administration of medications and vaccines with basic and advanced equipment found on an EMS vehicle or within an AEMT's scope of practice.

Essential Responsibilities

  1. Determines nature and extent of illness or injury; provide advanced life support and transport to the critically ill and injured in the prehospital setting. Advanced life support to include airway/ventilation/oxygenation, cardiovascular circulation, immobilization, medication administration--routes, and IV initiation/maintenance fluids. (50%)

  2. Drives emergency vehicle. (20%)

  3. Completes required documentation according to regulatory standards. (15%)

  4. Maintains equipment and inventory of supplies including BLS and ALS and has accountability for medications on every EMS unit per regulatory standards. (15%)

  5. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Minimum

  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • PA Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania at the AEMT level

  • EMSVO within 30 days of hire

  • Valid Driver's License

  • CPR American Heart Association

  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate

  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Preferred

  • ITLS/PHTLS, ABLS, ASLS.

  • 1 year experience in the field of prehospital care

Responsibilities:

  • Grow Our Business While Growing Your Team's. You will work with your team within your assigned geography to close sales, win business, and reach sales goals through the effective use of planned resources.

The Neurology Account Specialist (NAS) will be responsible for meeting and/or exceeding sales goals in an assigned territory by developing, implementing, and executing an integrated territory business plan encompassing key customer targets. Additional Information

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The total OTE for this role including base pay and variable is between $110,000 and $140,000.
