Overview


As an integral member of the Cleveland Central Catholic leadership team, the Finance Director will be a thought-partner and report to the President of the School and is a full-time, exempt role. The position is responsible for directing the School's accounting, finance, human resource, business, and state scholarship functions. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate creative thinking, prudent financial planning, and professional and authentic communication skills as they interact with staff, parents, families, and vendors and represent the School at internal and external events. The Finance Director will play a critical role in partnering with the senior leadership team in strategic decision-making and operations as Cleveland Central Catholic continues to enhance its quality academic, co-curricular, and extra-curricular programs and build capacity. The position offers a tremendous opportunity for a finance and operations leader to maximize and strengthen our internal capacity.



Position Requirements



  • Prepares financial statements and other management reports (monthly, quarterly, annually).

  • Conducts financial analysis and prepares budget and related projections.

  • Responsible for the integrity of the annual audit. Prepares all documentation and responds to auditor's requests.

  • Forecasts and controls the School's cash flow and management of credit.

  • Implements and completes all accounting processes and relevant reconciliations.

  • Formulate, maintain, and document fiscal policies and procedures.

  • Oversees the billing and collection of tuition and related fees.

  • Manages accounts payable and disbursements, including year-end tax requirements.

  • Manages accounts receivable, including banking, cash handling, and proper safeguards.

  • Administers payroll, benefits, retirement processing, and related human resource functions.

  • Establishes and maintains an adequate and proper internal control system.

  • Oversees financial administration and data for state scholarship and lunch programs.

  • Directs business functions such as contract review.

  • Facilitates the Finance Committee and serves as a staff liaison to the Cleveland Central Catholic Advisory Board Finance committee.

  • Creates a positive impression of Cleveland Central Catholic High School and an atmosphere in which students, parents, guardians, and visitors receive quality service and personal attention.

  • Regularly communicate necessary information regarding School needs to students, office staff, supervisors, and others.

  • Ability to translate financial concepts and effectively collaborate with colleagues who do not necessarily have finance backgrounds.

  • Works collaboratively with the President, Principal, and staff to pursue needs and priorities.

  • Display a positive outlook and can-do mindset.

  • Positively represent Cleveland Central Catholic High School on campus and in the broader community.

Qualifications



  • Commitment to the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church and to best practices in Catholic education.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or equivalent.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in Finance or Accounting is required.

  • Must be proficient in computer spreadsheets and other applications.

  • Self-starter with an ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Human Resource administrative experience, QuickBooks, and Paycor skills are strongly desired.

  • CPA or MBA is a plus.

  • Successful BCI and FBI background checks and VIRTUS certified or willing to be certified.

Responsibilities

  • Adjustment of the payroll/labor transactions via re-org processing
  • Correct and process federal government travel in accordance with policies and regulations
  • Verify, analyze, and maintain financial information used by the DOJ Office of the Comptroller
  • Use various electronic software and databases, such as UFMS, JEDI and JEDI-2, SAFARI, E-2, and SAMS.gov, to analyze complex data sets
  • Use various software packages, databases, and online resources to record and retrieve financial data, particularly related to reimbursable and billing process
  • Use a financial management system to track expenditures of multiple accounts
  • Generate reconciliation reports from a financial management system and reconcile financial books/reports weekly
  • Prepare financial reports and documentation for review and signature by DOJ Office of the Comptroller Management and numerous other U.S. Government agencies
  • Assist and provide support to other sections of DOJ in UFMS transaction processing and provide suggestions in system error resolutions
  • Compose memorandums, referencing financial reports and activities, as well as letters to outside vendors and agencies, as needed
  • Composes and disseminates correspondence, prepares forms and financial documents, manage databases, maintains the office files, routes paperwork, schedules and assists with web conferences, prepares meeting rooms and office events
  • Performs other duties, either as assigned or on own initiative, that are necessary for regular or special projects undertaken by the division
  • Contributes to team efforts, as needed

Qualifications

  • Two-year degree in accounting or four-year degree in a related field (finance, business, banking, or economics) with 30 credit hours in accounting
  • Knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems used by banking, financial and other institutions
  • Experience working with commitments, obligations, and interagency reimbursement agreements
  • Experience working with the quarterly review, accrual and closeout process
  • Ability to provide analysis and technical support for a variety of financial activities
  • Ability to identify and analyze change in budgetary and/or financial activities
  • Ability to research and analyze financial data
  • Must be a US Citizen upfront
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Job Description

The primary responsibilities of the Staff Accountant for Booking are to support the booking segment by assisting in securing future shows in LATAM. The Staff Accountant (Booking) will work closely with the Chicago Finance team to analyze and summarize offers received from LATAM promoters and present them to management. This role assists in settlements with both the local LATAM partners as well as settlements with artist management.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Assist and contribute to business plans/offers for potential artists we are looking to secure for future tours in LATAM
  • Supervise and review final settlements with both local partners in LATAM and settlements with artist management based on agreed terms
  • Work with legal team to review agreements and ensure the financial business points are reflected as agreed with artist/local partners
  • Work with management on negotiating and communicating back to local partners business deal points and eventually close deals
  • Review, analyze and provide feedback on offers received from LATAM promoters to summarize and present to management
  • Track payments to CMN for booking shows per the agreed terms

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or at least 2+ years of related experience (required)
  • 100% in-office
  • Bilingual verbal and written Spanish (required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills

Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns
  • Assist clients with tax planning and strategy to minimize their tax liabilities
  • Research and interpret tax laws, regulations, and court rulings to ensure compliance
  • Supervise and train junior tax staff
  • Identify opportunities to improve tax processes and procedures
  • Communicate tax findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner
  • Collaborate with other departments within the firm to provide comprehensive services

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
  • 5+ years of experience in tax preparation and consulting, preferably in a public accounting firm
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
  • Proficient with tax preparation software and spreadsheet applications

Responsibilities
Become a key player in our dynamic team as the VP, Chief Actuary Officer . In this role, you’ll report to the BNP President, provide strategic direction and leadership to the Actuarial Function while partnering with the BNP’s Senior Leadership team. You’ll benefit from sharing best practices with your fellow Actuarial Officers from the other 65 Berkley operating units and home office. We’ll trust you to develop and execute strategic plans that drive our business objectives. Your business acumen coupled with your ability to pivot from the tactical to strategic delivery of Pricing, Reserving, and Analytics will be crucial to our success.

Lead Through Change
  • Perform advanced analytics and modeling techniques using tools like SAS, R, Pretium, Emblem, and stochastic simulation techniques.
  • Identify, retrieve, and prepare data for actuarial analysis using SQL, Essbase, and other data sources.
  • Prepare loss and expense reserves estimates.
  • Lead rate reviews, ratemaking, and actuarial indications.
  • Implement advanced analytics for improved accuracy and efficiency; support the development of Tableau reporting and analytical tools/models.
Qualifications
What you need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree; or 15 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) with a commitment to continuing education.
  • Success managing teams and implementing strategic vision.
  • Strong problem analysis and resolution skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and basic SQL.
  • Knowledge of actuarial or analytics software such as Arius, R, Python, and Tableau.
