Client Acquisition Specialist
The Wood Agency Life
Manhattan, KS

Job Description

Job Description

Customer service skills carry straight into this 100% remote, 1099 independent-contractor life insurance sales role. You'll help families who requested information understand their options and apply, and we walk you through licensing if you need it.

What you'll actually do
  • Return calls from people who have already asked about life insurance
  • Listen first: learn the household, goals, and concerns before presenting anything
  • Explain options in plain language, then complete the application together
  • Record notes and next steps in the CRM so no follow-up slips
  • Check in with each client while the carrier reviews their application
  • Keep learning products, carriers, and state rules through ongoing training
Who this is a fit for
  • Experience in customer service, support, or call-center work where listening came first
  • Patient explaining unfamiliar details more than once without sounding rehearsed
  • Comfortable guiding someone from questions to a decision
  • Willing to complete state licensing before selling; timelines vary by state
  • A computer, a phone, and reliable internet
  • At least 18 and legally authorized to work in the United States
What we provide
  • Contracts with 43 carriers, so you can match each family to coverage that fits
  • Exclusive lead systems that put you in front of people who've already asked about coverage
  • Direct mentorship from Ben and Andrea, who run the agency
  • Weekly team calls, call reviews, and scripts available to agents
  • Guidance through state licensing if you aren't licensed yet
The honest part

Compensation: paid under an independent contractor (1099) contract. If you'd rather only answer questions than help someone reach a decision, this isn't the right fit. Apply through this listing; questions: (928) 889-6338.
