Dialysis Health Care Team Member

Functions as part of the dialysis health care team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with organization policies, procedures, and training and in compliance with regulations set forth by the corporation, state, and federal agencies. Responsible for the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines. Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment. Supports the organization commitment to the Quality Enhancement Program (QEP) and CQI Activities, including those related to patient satisfaction and actively participates in process improvement activities that enhance the likelihood that patients will achieve the organization Quality Enhancement Goals (QEP).

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

Patient Related

  • Assist other health care members in providing patient specific detailed education regarding adequacy measures where appropriate - Online Clearance Monitoring (OLC), Adequacy Monitoring Program (AMP), Urea Kinetic Modeling (UKM), and regarding disease process/access.

Treatment

  • Welcome assigned patients and inquire as to their wellbeing since their last treatment.
  • Evaluate vascular access for patency, perform vascular access cannulation, and perform administration of heparin as delegated or as allowed by state law.
  • Obtain necessary pre and post treatment vital signs and weight and perform vascular access evaluation pre- treatment
  • Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders including blood flow (QB) and dialysate flow (QD).
  • Evaluate intradialytic problems and provide intervention as prescribed by physician order or as directed.
  • Monitor patients' response to dialysis therapy.
  • Obtain vital signs prior to reinfusion; perform all relevant functions necessary for the discontinuation of treatment - document.
  • Discontinue dialysis treatment according to established procedures and evaluate patient prior to termination of venous access - standing & sitting blood pressure
  • Obtain Hemostasis and apply appropriate dressings.
  • Evaluate the patient prior to discharge.
  • Perform and record Pre and Post dialysis evaluation, weight, and vital signs with initial identification
  • Responsible for calculating and entry of individual patients' dialysis machine programming for Ultrafiltration (UF) goal; treatment time; and UF modeling as prescribed.
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate safety alarms are enabled, including Narrow Venous Limits, (NVL) 160.
  • Record accurate and timely information regarding vital signs and treatment parameters onto the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet with initial identification
  • Responsible for accurate documentation of information related to patient treatment including completion of Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet and, if applicable, progress notes.
  • Report any significant information and/or change in patient condition directly to the registered nurse or supervisor.
  • Observe patient and conduct machine safety checks according to facility policy. Report any change or unusual findings to the registered nurse or supervisor.
  • Perform and document any intervention for unusual patient status and document patients' response to intervention.
  • Evaluate patients' vascular access during treatment including arterial and venous monitoring pressures, provide appropriate intervention as needed, document and report any unusual findings to the registered nurse or supervisor.
  • Obtain all prescribed laboratory testing and prepare specimens for collection.
  • Ensure that all blood spills are immediately cleaned with appropriate disinfectant according to facility policy.
  • Prepare, organize, and efficiently utilize supplies and equipment to prevent wastage.
  • Monitors patients performing self-care under the supervision of RN.

Staff Related

  • Assists in training of applicable direct patient care staff on appropriate programs under the supervision of a nurse.

Education/Communication

  • Follows all organization business policies, procedures and systems incorporated into training, including compliance with ethical business practices
  • Maintain environmental integrity and aesthetics - ensure all areas are safe and clean.
  • Clean and disinfect dialysis machine surface, chair, equipment, and surrounding area between treatments according to facility policy.
  • Conduct all tasks necessary for preparation for dialysis treatment and document where appropriate and perform all required pretreatment dialysis machine alarm testing including Pressure Holding (PHT).

Infection Control

Transitional Care Unit

  • Follows all newly admitted patients through their first 4 weeks of dialysis and coordinating their transitional dialysis care
  • Reinforces all education and care related matters as it relates to the new patient as allowed by state law
  • Liaisons with appropriate FKC staff members to provide the best patient experience including making sure all disciplines are scheduled to see patient according to plan.
  • Assists in assuring patient understanding or home dialysis products, benefits of home and how home dialysis can work for them.
  • Sets and preforms a treatment on all machines used in the transitional care unit.
  • Assists with coordination of transition to patient's modality choice.
  • Assists with supply ordering and inventory for TCU

Industry Operations Investigator (IOI) positions are with the Department of Justice (DOJ), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF) in the Office of Field Operations (FO) Nationwide. IOI positions are mission critical positions that requires the ability to pay close attention to detail(s).

IOIs conduct inspections/investigations of the firearms & explosives industries, including dealers, importers, and providing support to Criminal Investigators (Special Agent) on criminal investigations. If selected for this position, you will be responsible for performing the following duties:

  • Conduct investigations of firearms licensees and explosives licensees/permittees; investigations/inspections involving analyzing records, and referring leads identified involving firearms & explosives thefts to ATF Special Agents for further investigation.
  • Document and report discrepancies revealed from examining records and inventories; including evidence of falsification of records and inventories, suspicious purchases or potential trafficking uncovered in firearm transaction records reviewed.
  • Prepare reports detailing the facts found to document firearms licensee or explosives licensee/permittee is operating in accordance with the laws/regulations, and make recommendations for further necessary action.
  • Verify inventories utilizing intelligence databases to analyze records and examine business operations.

What You’ll Do

  1. Performs all routine preventive maintenance (PM) orders as assigned and health checks on facility equipment, including water and wastewater treatment, scrubbers, HVAC, wiring, air compressors, boilers, nitrogen system, powered rigging equipment, etc. This includes preparation of preventative maintenance reports and recordkeeping, performing periodic checks of equipment performance and efficiency, conducting trend analysis of key operational indicators to determine optimum operation of systems and equipment, and troubleshooting equipment failures. Works with and oversees outside contractors as required.
  2. Works with controls systems, troubleshooting, and correcting the issue causing the process to be down.
  3. Uses the plants CMMS system to track and complete work assignments. Makes recommendations on ways to improve preventative maintenance tasks.
  4. Works with Production and Process groups to coordinate work activities and minimize impacts to production. Work includes opening / closing of various valves and overall operations of equipment that impacts production and the facility systems.
  5. Follows all applicable company and customer safety requirements, participates in the company safety committee and supports emergency responses.
  6. Participates in annual maintenance assignments.
  7. Requires occasional work in a clean room environment and around chemicals.

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • AA as Electrical or Maintenance Technician or certification training from a college or technical school (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 10+ years of experience working as a facilities technician.
  • Advanced pipe fitting and carpentry skills and /or electrical skills.
  • Must have experience using basic hand and power tools and working with limited supervision.
  • Must acquire or be certified as a Hazardous Materials Technician as per 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(iii), and wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirator, as required.
  • Experience with ultrapure water and high purity chemical systems preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and read and interpret various documents.
  • Strong mathematical skills and reasoning ability.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk for long periods and work in industrial environments.
  • Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) preferred.

Role: Cook

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
  • Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
  • Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
  • Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
  • May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
  • Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
  • Residency within the service area required
