Essential Job Functions:

Tissue Recovery

  1. Performs the aseptic surgical recovery of tissues: Ocular, Musculoskeletal, Skin, Cardiac, Vascular, Bone Marrow, and ensures that the recovery follows all applicable OL P&P.

  9. Packages and ships tissue to processors.

  11. Communicates with the Family Care Center coordinator on shift and the Supervisor-on-Call (as appropriate) of any information that is discovered during medical chart review or physical examination that would alter the acceptance or rejection of the donor.
  12. Responds timely to chart corrections.
  13. Maintains donor information in a confidential manner by complying with HIPAA requirements and respects the donation process in a way that honors the gift of donation.
  14. Performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with OneLegacy policies and procedures, the standards and regulations as outlined by the FDA, AATB, EBAA, CMS, UNOS, and other applicable federal, state and local laws.

Donor Receiving and Releasing

  1. Assists with logistics and coordination of the transportation of donors to a OneLegacy facility for recovery.
  2. Performs the receiving and releasing of donors in the OneLegacy Recover Facility from partners such as but not limited to transport companies, coroner offices, or funeral homes.

Surgical Technologist Support (OR Scrub)

  1. Aseptically sets up the OR (surgical recovery room) for the Organ Recovery and breaks down the OR Post-Recovery.
  2. Performs surgical prep and drape of the donor.
  3. Hands off instruments and supplies to surgeons during the organ recovery.
  4. Verifies the Authorization and organs to be recovered.
  5. Assists the surgeons as needed or directed.

Research Tissue/Organ or Specialty Graft Recovery

Facility Maintenance and Cleaning and Materials Management

  2. Ensures inventory of clinical supplies are maintained appropriately to support day-to-day operations.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: Required to have at least one of the following: completion of an EMT program, completion of a Surgical Technologist program, current or previous licensure as a paramedic, previous experience in tissue or organ recoveries, experience in an allied health field such as (embalming, physiology, anatomy, mortuary sciences, surgical, EMS, EMT, ER Technologist, paramedic, pathology, nursing), CEBT or CTBS Certifications, or Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse, loading dock, parking, yard, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor, employee, and delivery activity; verify credentials and report irregularities according to site procedures.
  • Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications for security-related observations and events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

3. Collaboration with External CPA:
-Work closely with the external CPA to ensure accurate and timely financial
reporting.
-Assist in the preparation of documents and reports required for audits and tax
filings.
-Communicate effectively with the CPA to resolve any discrepancies and ensure
compliance with accounting standards.
-Provide necessary financial data and reports to support the CPA's work.

4. Additional Responsibilities:
o      Support the management team with various projects and tasks as needed.
o     Ensure confidentiality and security of financial and personnel data. 
o     Provide excellent customer service to clients and vendors.
 
Qualifications:
•     High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance,
       or related field preferred.
•      Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
•      Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite
       (Word, Excel, Outlook).
•      Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
•      Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
•      Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•      Knowledge of local, state, and federal tax regulations.
•      Experience working with senior management and external accounting professionals is a
plus.
