Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team in providing comprehensive mental health services to adult/geriatric clients of center programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders in the clients. This role involves conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Purpose Provides psychiatric services to adult/geriatric clients of center programs.

Education & Experience

  • M.D. or D.O. degree, current valid Florida medical license

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret and abide by confidentiality laws, abuse reporting guidelines, client rights requirements, and adhere to a code of ethical and practice standards
  • Must be knowledgeable of Backer Act and Marchman Act
  • Experience with counseling/psychiatric interventions
  • Proficiency in client care protocol for children/adolescents
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal: must be able to articulate reports and evaluations regarding clinical and non-clinical issues
  • Knowledge of medications for child/adolescent specific dosing
  • Aptitude for coaching clients about their illness
  • Competence educating clients about peer influence concepts

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and create tailored treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications based on diagnosis
  • Evaluate effectiveness of medications(s), including side effects or lack there of
  • Educate clients, significant others, & staff about medications and interactions
  • Provide consultation to staff about medication, treatment issues, & termination of clients' treatments
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals, educators, and families to support patient care.
  • Perform mental status examination
  • Determine Five (5) Axis Diagnosis based on DSM IV criteria, including GAF score
  • Offer discussions on psychodynamics of evaluations (i.e. family environment)
  • Deliver consultations concerning health status
  • Review & sign-off on treatment plans, medication dividers, and insurance forms
  • Provide correspondence regarding clients issues as appropriate to internal/external sources

Other Minor or Occasional Tasks

  • Attend medical staff meetings
  • Participate in QI teams and committees to further performance improvement activities
  • Crisis Stabilization Unit on-call as determined by Chief Medical Officer
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Team. Cross functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership. PCTs work under the supervision of an RN.

Job Summary

Responsible for facilitating the safe and efficient transportation of patients, medical equipment, and supplies within the healthcare facility. Responsible for coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely and accurate delivery, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.

  • Safely transport patients within the healthcare facility, including from their rooms to various departments, such as radiology, surgery, and physical therapy.
  • Assist patients with boarding and disembarking from transportation vehicles, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Transport medical equipment, supplies, and specimens between departments and storage areas.
  • Ensure proper handling and care of delicate and sensitive equipment.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols while handling and transporting materials.
  • Coordinate transportation requests and schedules to ensure prompt and efficient service.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to prioritize transportation needs and accommodate urgent requests.
