This regional medical center is a respected healthcare provider serving the Hartsville community and surrounding areas. The facility features a Level 2 pediatric unit with supportive pediatric nursing staff and uses Meditech EMR system for efficient patient documentation.
Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Pediatrics
Job Details:
• Provide 24-hour call coverage (7am-7am) for pediatric inpatient services
• Manage patients ages 0-18 years with typical pediatric conditions
• Handle 3-12 monthly admissions, with daily rounding responsibilities
• Hospital pediatric call with strong support from pediatric nursing staff
• Preferred skills include ventilation management for newborns and pediatric patients (acute and chronic)
• Experience with various procedures preferred: intubation, conscious/deep sedation, central lines, arterial lines, UVC, UAC, lumbar puncture
• Additional preferred skills: paracentesis, thoracentesis, chest tube insertion, needle pneumothorax decompression
• Interpretation of X-rays and EKGs preferred
• Skills in suturing minor lacerations, circumcision, and swallow studies also preferred
• Must be Board Certified in Pediatrics
• Must hold active South Carolina medical license
• Required certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 30-45 days
• Local drive-in candidates strongly preferred
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
