Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.

Job Description

About the role:

As the Maintenance and Utilities Technician V, you will perform advanced maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a variety of critical plant equipment. You will ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing and facilities equipment, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of Takeda's operations.

How you will contribute:

  • Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on:
  • HVAC, chillers, boilers, air handlers, refrigeration systems, compressors, pumps, water systems
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair control systems, instrumentation, and mechanical systems
  • Maintain refrigerant logs per EPA/SCAQMD standards
  • Execute and close work orders (JDE system), including required documentation and Change Control
  • Escort contractors, support equipment startups, order/manage chemicals
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC, UMC, cGMP, and internal safety protocols
  • Respond to emergency/urgent utility issues and hazardous waste concerns
  • Participate in team meetings and instructor-led training

What you bring to Takeda:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 8+ years of relevant industrial maintenance experience required

Important Considerations:

Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).
Management of capital budgeting, staffing and planning for Facilities Maintenance and EHS Management with regard to continuous improvement.
Owner of continuous cost reductions for facilities operations including utilities, maintenance and consumables.
Provide feedback to peers, and management staff on cost and cost trends. Forecast Development and Accuracy:
Prepare timely forecasts for the department.
Compare forward forecast results to historical actual results for trend assessment and analysis.
Provide feedback to management staff as required. TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and cost conscious management.
Facility management and maintenance including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, environmental and janitorial disciplines.
Maintain the positive image of our facilities and grounds for our customers, our employees and our stakeholders.
Establish, maintain and improve our total productive maintenance program for asset management centered on CMMS.
Project management execution in a cross functional environment with multiple customers and direct conflicts.
Establish new measurement systems if/where possible.
When possible and/or practical, exchange knowledge and information with other Jabil facilities to ensure best practices are shared throughout the Jabil organization.
Assure that procedures and work instructions are efficient and not redundant.
Offer new ideas and suggestions for improvement. Identify and implement new practices and processes that are best in field.

How will you make an impact!
In this key Manufacturing Engineer Technician onsite role, you will perform preventative maintenance, calibration, change overs in Z-prep area and perform preventive maintenance for tooling (SMT & BE process) and other specialty support equipment used in the manufacturing process.

Location: This role will be based on-site at one of our St. Petersburg Florida Facilities located in Seminole, FL specializing in Renewable Energy

What will you do?

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and adjust SMT equipment while ensuring high quality and process stability.

  • Perform setups, changeovers, and material verification for each process step.

  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenanceon:

    • Laser marking systems

    • Glue dispensing machines (CAMALOT)

    • Screen printers (DEK)

    • SPI systems (KOH YOUNG)

    • Pick & place machines (FUJI NXT, AIM)

    • Reflow ovens (ITW/VITRONIC)

  • Troubleshoot and resolve process issues related to solder paste printing, component placement, inspection, and reflow profiling.

  • Create, modify, and optimize SMT programs(FUJI, CAMALOT, DEK, etc.).

  • Document downtime, maintenance activities, root cause analysis, and improvements.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to improve OEE, yields, CP/CPK, and reduce rework.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, ESD controls, and manufacturing best practices.

  • Cover overtime requirements as needed.

- Electronics Industry Experience

- High School Diploma or GED preferred not required or equivalent - experience.
