Job Description

Director, Global Clinical Supply Chain is an end-to-end clinical supply planning leader that provides relevant expertise in a fast-paced biopharmaceutical environment. The Director works with Global Supply Chain (GSC) and other Gilead functions (Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Product Development & Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, and PMO) to develop and formulate supply chain strategies, meet project deliverables, solve business problems and create competitive advantage. This role covers all elements of clinical supply planning from protocol design through manufacturing to distribution and inventory management of clinical supplies at clinical sites worldwide. Essential Job Functions & Focus Area

  • Serves as the clinical supply lead on PDM sub-teams for complex development programs (late phase, acquisition, partnership/alliance, new modality, etc.).
  • Leads development and execution of overall clinical supply strategy and management for clinical development programs, including management of investigational medicinal product (IMP) for assigned global trials.
  • Oversees and supports clinical study planners in a matrix environment; facilitates issue and risk identification, mitigation, resolution and communication.

Key Responsibilities

This position includes end‑to‑end elements of clinical planning and execution from protocol design through manufacturing to the ultimate distribution and inventory management of clinical supplies at clinical sites worldwide.

Basic Qualifications

  • 16+ years of relevant industry experience with a BA/BS; or 14+ years with an MA/MS, MBA, PhD or PharmD.
  • Expert working knowledge of clinical supply chain best practices and experience in a GxP environment.
  • Strong cross‑functional, multi‑cultural awareness and communication skills to lead in a fast‑paced, global company.
  • Demonstrated hands‑on end‑to‑end clinical supply knowledge and experience with clinical trials in the oncology therapeutic area while maintaining strategic oversight at portfolio level.

Preferred Skills

  • Degree in a science‑related field; MS, PharmD or MBA desirable.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is: $281,010.00 – $363,660.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock‑based long‑term incentives (eligibility may vary), paid time off and a benefits package.   • Must pass the SERV Safe Certification Course and Exam. Maintain current health card in adherence with local/state requirements.
  • This position requires an average 45-hour work week with flexible availability (nights, weekends, holidays).
