Our advanced practice clinician fellowship program will be based at Grand Strand Medical Center in beautiful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina! The upcoming fellowship program will begin on January 1st, 2027 , and includes 6 months of immersive and comprehensive learning. Opportunities for full-time hospitalist clinician employment with TeamHealth will be available immediately following the completion of the 6-month fellowship program. TeamHealth's hospital medicine APC fellowship program has been designed to provide an immersive, integrated, and comprehensive learning experience for licensed NPs and PAs in the field of inpatient HM. Through one-on-one, hands-on clinical teaching, as well as enriched didactic resources, learners will receive training and preparation to enter the field of hospital medicine with confidence. APC fellows will integrate into a team of accomplished hospital medicine physicians and APCs who provide a multidisciplinary approach to learning the art of hospital medicine. To be eligible for the January 1st, 2027 group, clinicians must have graduated and passed board exams by August 1st, 2026.

Daily Expectations and Duties Overview

  • Diagnosing and treatment.
  • Performing medical examinations.
  • Administrating or directing health treatment procedures as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program; Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration/Certification
  • Current licensure and Certificate of Authority to practice as a nurse practitioner in the state of Ohio
  • FNP certification preferred.
  • BLS & ACLS certification
  • 2+ years' experience in family practice environment preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently, but also able to collaborate effectively with other staff members to provide quality patient care
  • Behavioral health experience desirable
