Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician engages with members and network pharmacies to support medication adherence, ensure timely refills, and facilitate continuity of care by coordinating pharmacy-related needs and resolving access barriers.
This role contributes to STARS/HEDIS performance by proactively identifying and resolving adherence gaps and escalating clinical issues to a pharmacist as appropriate.
Functions & Job Responsibilities
Conduct outreach to members and caregivers regarding upcoming or overdue medication refills
Coordinate medication refills with members and network pharmacies to ensure continuity of therapy
Assist members in navigating pharmacy-related needs, including refill access and issue resolution
Maintain a regular in-person presence at Clever Care Community Centers and member events
Serve as a liaison between members and network pharmacies to resolve access or refill barriers
Escalate clinical questions or medication-related concerns to a pharmacist or Director of Pharmacy
Partner with the STARS/HEDIS team to identify and address medication adherence gaps
Participate in targeted outreach and calling campaigns to improve adherence and member engagement
Support testing and adoption of new pharmacy and member engagement technologies to improve operational efficiency and workflows
Provide feedback on system usability, workflow gaps, and opportunities for process improvement
Work with external vendors and access multiple platforms and portals to support member service, refill coordination, and issue resolution
Adapt to evolving tools and systems in a process improvement-focused environment
Accurately document member interactions and actions taken in designated systems
Follow departmental workflows, job aids, and company policies to ensure consistent and compliant operations
Identify workflow issues and recommend process improvements
Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous improvement efforts
Comply with all Federal, State, and HIPAA requirements

Qualifications
Qualifications
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
Two (2) years experience as a pharmacy technician preferred
Experience working in a health plan preferred
Active Pharmacy Technician license preferred
Skills
Strong communication and member engagement skills
Comfortable working across multiple technology platforms and vendor portals
Demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to changing workflows
Ability to work effectively in a feedback-driven, team-based environment
Exceptional customer service skills, including verbal and written communication
Strong active listening skills
Familiarity with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations
Proficient knowledge of retail pharmacy workflow and claims adjudication
Understanding of health plan formularies, prior authorizations, etc.
Ability to collaborate and be a team player
Must be a quick learner
Wage Range: $29.00 to $35.00 per hour

Work is performed in an office environment and/or remotely. The job involves frequent contact with staff and public. May occasionally be required to work irregular hours based on the needs of the business.
