This role requires you to live within a reasonable commuting distance to raleigh/Durham, NC so that you can adequately execute your job responsibilities.
Your Impact
- Maintain and establish impactful business relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Prospect for new business opportunities and gain new market share in an assigned territory through in-person meetings and phone calls.
- Assist with upgrading technology, solutions, and services with existing customers in an assigned territory.
- Implement creative sales strategies to meet customer needs.
- Perform extensive customer analyses and site surveys at customer locations to satisfy needs.
- Prepares proposals, presentations, and conducts product demonstrations.
About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring
- A Bachelor's degree required, plus 0-2 years of related experience.
- A minimum one year of recent business-to-business, outside sales experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the desire to build solid working relationships with a variety of businesses.
- An interest in learning new technology in an evolving industry.
- The ability to work autonomously with excellent time management skills.
- The capacity to travel within local market (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary).
We are providing the anticipated base salary range for this role: $40,000-$50,610 annually.
This role is eligible for incentive compensation under the terms of an applicable plan and/or policy.
Incentive compensation earnings vary by quota assigned, at 100% of plan, the anticipated incentive compensation for this role is $44,959 annually.
This role is also eligible for a transportation allowance.

Seasonal Cover Driver (with Warehouse Support)

Become a key part of our UPS team in a dynamic combo role, with a strong focus on driving! At this time of year, you’ll primarily serve as a Seasonal Cover Driver , stepping in to support delivery operations and keep things moving. When needed, you’ll also be trained to assist as a Seasonal Warehouse Worker. 

Your day-to-day assignment will vary based on business needs such as package volume, staffing needs, and seasonal demand. You may rotate between driving and warehouse duties—sometimes week to week, and other times spending extended periods in one role before transitioning to the other.

If being outside, hitting the road, and keeping active sound like your kind of day—this job is for you!

Please Note: This is a seasonal position; schedules may vary and can include Monday through Saturday, holidays, and peak delivery periods.

Cover Driver Responsibilities

• Typically work 8 to 10 hours per day, Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday depending on operational needs

• Safely operate UPS package delivery vehicles

• Deliver and pick up packages while providing excellent customer service

• Work independently in a fast-paced outdoor environment and in and out of customer locations

• Meet all UPS driver qualification standards and requirements

Occasionally, you may work inside the facility as a Seasonal Warehouse Worker

• Typically work 3.5 to 5 hours per day, Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday

• Sort, move, and handle packages in a fast-paced warehouse environment

• Report on the assigned warehouse shift when not scheduled as a Cover Driver

What you’ll need:

• Ability to lift, lower, and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs.

• Stamina – this is a workout like no other!

• Valid driver’s license—no CDL required (License type varies by state – proof required to qualify for the position)

• Satisfactory driving history

• Pass the DOT physical

• Pass a UPS driver test

• Excellent customer contact and driving skills

• Cover drivers are expected to comply with UPS driver appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided uniform

• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Seasonal Cover Driver (with Warehouse Support)

Become a key part of our UPS team in a dynamic combo role, with a strong focus on driving! At this time of year, you’ll primarily serve as a Seasonal Cover Driver , stepping in to support delivery operations and keep things moving. When needed, you’ll also be trained to assist as a Seasonal Warehouse Worker.
