Class A CDL Driver

Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Class A CDL driver. As a Class A CDL driver, you will deliver and recover a variety of equipment, tools and supplies to and from the customer worksite. This role will generally drive a Class A truck hauling equipment on a flatbed (dovetail) or RGN (lowboy) trailer in a variety of conditions, including urban, suburban, rural settings. Ability to drive safely in tight settings such as construction zones is required.

Education or experience that prepares you for success:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid Driver's license with CDL License and acceptable driver's record
  • Prior training and/or experience with similar commercial equipment preferred
  • Experience driving flat-beds, RGN/lowboy, dovetail trailers
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to equipment and vehicle at job sites

Overview

The Service Greeter interacts with customers, assists service advisors, moves vehicles, ensures the service drive is clean, and is instrumental in delivering an outstanding first impression and quality service experience for our customers. No automotive experience is necessary.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Greet customers who arrive in our service department and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Shuttle customers to the various places.
  • Service with a Smile - Always courteous to customers.
  • Assist other departments and internal employees as necessary including washing, wiping, or vacuuming vehicles.
  • Ensure service drive and service department is clean including emptying trash, sweeping/cleaning areas, and assist in emptying oil catches.
  • Lock vehicles when service is complete.
  • Check rental vehicles for cleanliness, fuel and lock up.
  • Pick up rags or other service items and return to proper locations.
  • Complete tasks as directed by Service Manager and Service Advisors.
  • Wash and vacuum rental vehicles.
  • Administrative duties such as answering phones and filing as needed.

Education And Experience

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Excellent customer service skills and attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer service experience is a plus.

Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding position. The Service Greeter will stand six to eight hours per shift. Will drive vehicles. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
