Job Description

As a Market Vice President of Operations, you will provide overall vision, planning, direction, and control to assigned units for a large and complex geographic district normally generating $80 million in revenue. This key leadership role is accountable for execution of our General Management program, with a focus on growth, cost and productivity, leading people and delivering financial commitments. Whether focused on multiple sites for a large client or multiple clients, the key success measures of a Market Vice President of Operations include Revenue Growth, EBIT, Margin, Consumer Satisfaction, Client Loyalty and Employee Engagement. Frequent travel to client sites throughout the district is expected.

In this role, the Market Vice President of Operations will oversee six to eight Regional Directors and be responsible for up to eighty locations. This role would be involved with supporting and overseeing several different Senior Living facilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leadership - Establish overall ownership and accountability of operational management and financial performance of multiple accounts and units. Model key leadership behaviors and ensure the highest levels of safety, quality and service excellence for employees, clients and consumers. Coach and mentor employees by crafting a shared understanding about how and what needs to be achieved. Reward and recognize employees. Identify and engage top talent and develop team members to their fullest potential within the organization. Plan and lead team management meetings. Ensure safety and sanitation standards in all operations.

  • Client Relationship - Establish and maintain effective client and customer rapport for a mutually beneficial business relationship. Identify client needs and communicate operational progress. Understand contractual obligations and leverage opportunities. Facilitate and support new business and retention activities. Ensure team completes customer satisfaction surveys in all locations.

  • Financial Performance - Build revenue and manage budget with sensitivity to costs and client needs. Ensure the completion and maintenance of P&L statements for the district. Provide oversight and take ownership to deliver client and company financial targets using Aramark systems. Understand performance metrics, data, order and inventory trends; educate teams on key levers to improve margins.

  • Productivity - Lead managers in implementing and maintaining corporate management agenda for labor and financial initiatives. Ensure value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management. Ensure consistent application of Aramark operating standards and processes (Operational Excellence) with particular focus on efficiency standards. Understand end to end supply chain and procurement process and systems; ensure only authorized suppliers are used.

  • Compliance - Ensure unit managers maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers and employees. Follow all applicable policies, rules and regulations, including but not limited to those relating to safety, health, and wage and hour.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience, typically acquired over 5-10 years, including P&L responsibility within the hospitality, retail, facilities, direct store delivery or food and beverage industries.

  • Confirmed ability to hire, assess, develop and grow hard-working talent.

This position is ideal for CDL A driving teams and recent retirees who would enjoy staying in comfortable hotels and using private facilities every night instead of sleeper trucks and travel centers. Limited mileage – see the USA from city to city, not just from the interstate!

Requirements include:

  • 100% travel 340+ days per year
  • One team member must hold a CDL Class A with air brake endorsement
  • Both team members must be competent in basic technical skills such as computer skills, internet, email, etc.
  • Both team members possess the physical ability to lift 25–50 lbs. and walk up to 150 yards 3–5 times per hour escorting groups of employees to mobile unit for screening services
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while working without direct supervision
  • Proficient knowledge of HCI health screening services and procedures (training provided)

HCI provides:

  • Office and field training in order to conduct health screening services at our clients' work sites
  • Medical scrubs to be worn while performing screening services
  • A workweek consisting of 5 days of testing followed by a weekend of rest. Should testing be scheduled on a weekend (very rare), teams will be “paid back” with the equivalent time‑off
  • All power units are continually maintained and updated. Power units typically are Dodge 4500, F‑550, and F‑650 or equivalent to transport mobile testing unit & available for technician use outside of work. No semi‑tractor, day cab or manual shifters
  • A monthly salary plus daily Per Diem (paid in full, weekly, to be used at employee’s discretion for meal and hotel expenses)

To meet restaurant goals, the General Manager leads a team of Department Managers. The General Manager helps Department Managers set goals, monitor progress, and provides coaching and direction to improve each department. By improving the departments, the restaurant improves.

The General Manager may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to ensure the restaurant has the right team.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should have previous General Manager experience running high volume locations. A background in quick‑service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail. You must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our corporate‑owned and operated restaurants.
