This facility is inpatient rehab facility specializing in neurological rehab, stroke rehab, orthopedic rehab and spinal cord rehab. Job responsibilities include:
  • Patient rounding
  • Conducting consultation visits on complicated rehab patients and working with the facility on mentoring support staff on PM&R services and providing a high standard of care
  • Diagnose patient conditions and implement appropriate treatment and care plans
  • Collaborate with APCs to deliver high quality rehabilitation care

Hospitalist Physician

TeamHealth has a new day shift hospitalist opening at St. David's Georgetown Hospital in Austin, Texas. This is an established program between TeamHealth and HCA staffed with internal medicine (IM) hospitalists and nocturnists that are all local to Austin. Our physicians work a traditional 7-on, 7-off schedule.
St. David's Georgetown has 114 beds but only 50 beds are handled by the hospitalist program. We are currently staffing this with 3-day time providers (7a-7p) with 1 nocturnist physician (7p-7a). This is a closed ICU setting, averaging 20-22 total patient encounters per day shift clinician and a maximum of 10 admissions at night. We do not require our clinicians to perform procedures within this role. You only need to respond to codes for your patients, so you are able to assist the codes team. Presently all St. David's locations are using Meditech for their EMR.
