The Financial Crime Technology Implementation Senior Consultant will support the execution and management of the technical and data-driven components involved in implementing financial crime risk and broader regulatory compliance systems. Our financial crime offerings span audits, model validations, and technology implementation and enhancement-providing consultants with exposure to a wide range of risk management disciplines and opportunities to expand their expertise. We are seeking a professional with a strong understanding of banking and compliance source system data, who can advise clients on effectively transforming and integrating that data into their compliance platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Support large-scale AML advisory and consulting engagements for both large and mid-sized financial institutions.
  • Contribute to the definition and development of technical and data requirements for AML system implementations.
  • Assist with the configuration and customization of AML platforms to meet client needs.
  • Design, plan, and execute data-focused workstreams as part of AML technology deployments.
  • Perform detailed data analysis, mapping, and validation to ensure successful system integration and functionality.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of key regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC requirements.
  • Lead or support internal and client-facing meetings and presentations.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with clients, colleagues, and key stakeholders across engagements.
  • Develop innovative solutions to address both current and emerging global financial crime risks.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and consulting skills when engaging with senior executives, C-suite leaders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Apply strong business writing capabilities to produce clear, concise, and professional deliverables and reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading data-focused projects within retail banking, professional services, or AML consulting environments.
  • Proven experience working with a variety of financial services data sources and systems, with a solid understanding of data management and integration best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL, R, or Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Hands‑on experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau to develop interactive reports and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with core banking data, including deposits, loans, mortgages, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative and team‑oriented mindset, with experience working across diverse teams.
  • Strong research skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience using online research tools is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with banking compliance requirements, including laws applicable to anti‑money laundering, including the BSA, USA PATRIOT Act and OFAC.
  • Experience with AML based systems such as Actimize, Mantas, Norkom, FCRM or SAS.
  • Experience working in a professional services or project‑based environment managing the implementation of an AML System.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively engage in significant impact litigation including discovery, depositions, motions practice, drafting briefs, correspondence, conducting thorough legal research, and court appearances.

  • Provide direct defense to activists and support other attorneys defending demonstrators subject to arrest for First Amendment activities.

  • Prepare FOIA and public records requests and litigate the requests as necessary.

  • Develop, evaluate, and investigate potential claims, new projects and litigation strategies to forward our efforts to defend and advance civil rights and social justice nationally, and work as part of a collaborative team.

  • Draft publications and other legal resources including reports, fact sheets, and know your rights materials for public education and outreach and for audiences of varied backgrounds.

Required Professional Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience with §1983 litigation and/or substantial criminal defense.

  • Demonstrated litigation skills and experience including the ability to conduct discovery and take effective depositions.

  • Ability to draft high quality legal briefs and must reliably complete research that is comprehensive, accurate and does not require secondary review.

  • Creative thinker in strategic and tactical planning to advance constitutional rights issues. Ability to develop and implement litigation strategies and to work collaboratively within the organization.

  • Admission to the D.C. bar or ability to waive in.

  • Enthusiasm for the work of the organization and dedication to civil rights and social and environmental justice issues.

  • Self-motivated with ability to create an agenda for the work. A high level of independence and initiative, ability to take responsibility to advance and complete projects and manage a caseload, and ability to respond to direction.

  • Excellent judgment, meticulous attention to detail, superior organizational, speaking, and writing abilities.

  • A strong work ethic is essential as well as the capacity to work well under pressure, to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet deadline requirements and rapid response needs, including working occasional weekends and evenings if necessary.

Description

Reporting to the Senior Director of Major Giving, the Senior Manager, Mid-Level Giving will lead the growth and execution of the Food Bank’s mid-level giving program, overseeing donors who contribute between $1,000-$9,999 annually. This role will help design and implement a comprehensive cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategy; strengthen and streamline systems; and personally manage a small portfolio of high-value mid-level donors. The Senior Manager will supervise and mentor a Mid-Level Giving Specialist, ensuring effective portfolio management and program execution.

This position requires a balance of acumen, hands‑on donor relationship management, and team oversight to drive donor retention, revenue growth, and a strong pipeline for major gifts. The mid‑level donor universe includes approximately 3,500 donors contributing roughly $7M annually and is growing rapidly.

Program Strategy and Leadership
