Senior Capture Manager

Our KBR team is actively hiring a Senior Capture Manager! Job level will be based on years of experience in support of a mature capture process and the value of captured contracts. Details are listed in the Qualifications Section below.

The KBR Senior Capture Manager will serve as a Capture lead within KBRs business development organization. Customers include a broad selection of federal government agencies, focused specifically on Civilian Agency mission and technology programs. The Capture Leads will be responsible for developing, maturing and winning new business within the Federal Civilian space. Specific Federal Civilian agencies include DHS, ICE, DOJ, DOT, etc. You will lead large, prime, full and open opportunities and lead top pursuits across KBR.

Primary work location will be Fulton, MD with assigned customers based across the US. Position can be 100% remote depending on location.

Approximately 20-40% of work time will be on travel to client locations.

Responsibilities:

• Capture ownership of assigned opportunities in support of KBRs growth mission and vision
• Responsible for the management and execution of the full BD life-cycle process across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposals
• Routinely assignment of 2-3 large ($100M+) solicitation pursuits at various stages of the capture lifecycle primarily in the federal market
• Conceptualize a winning strategy, develop a capture plan that implements the strategy and translates into win themes, discriminators, and scorable strengths, adjusts the strategy as the procurement unfolds, and drive the capture activities and team (internal and external) to achieve the strategy through final proposal submission
• Plan, lead, execute capture activities to include:
• Participate in developing a healthy pipeline of new opportunities
• Qualify and assess the win-ability of new opportunities
• Develop a plan for securing knowledge and understanding of the customers requirements, challenges, issues, and needs during the capture phase and lead solutioning/planning sessions with the capture team
• Coordinate meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices
• Lead milestone/gate reviews, black hat sessions, solution sessions, blue teams, and support proposal reviews
• Lead competitive assessments, teaming, and price-to-win efforts
• Lead the development and submission of white papers, RFI responses, and other proposal artifacts as assigned
• Apply KBR capture management best practices to each pursuit, including creating and disseminating capture artifactscall reports, B&P budgets, win plans, solution documentation, key strengths statements
• Brief capture status to senior management at specified milestones in the capture process, when material changes occur and as requested
• Creating winning solutions
• Winning large new business programs

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree and a total of 12+ years of experience that includes 10+ years of industry experience and 6+ years of experience in business development
• Experience winning new business, single award contracts valued over $200M
• Bachelors degree equivalent related experience will be accepted in lieu of degree
• Must have a demonstrable history of winning large prime, single award, non-IDIQ contracts
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and to provide leadership within the workplace
• Working knowledge and experience within a mature, industry-leading capture organization targeting space and engineering support
• An ability to drive profitable financial outcomes on each capture with demonstrated understanding of corporate indirect rates and LOE/BOE development
• Proven success in the following discipline(s): Business development, capture management, program management, science and engineering programs, civil space programs, civilian federal programs, acquisition processes, opportunity identification and qualification
• Demonstrated leadership skills in services-centric organizations to develop, organize and execute significant capture activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans to shape acquisitions

Basic Compensation:

$175,800 - $263,700

The offered rate will be based on contract affordability and the selected candidates working location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience, and in consideration of internal parity.

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Senior Sourcing Manager

The Senior Sourcing Manager owns strategy and execution for a defined commodity across multiple sites/programs. The role delivers Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) by building multi-year category strategies, optimizing the supplier base, negotiating long-term agreements, and mitigating risk to ensure continuity of supply and competitiveness.

Role Responsibilities:

• Category strategy and roadmap: Develop a short- and long-term commodity strategy tied to demand forecasts, technology roadmaps, Make/Buy, and should-cost; segment spend and define value levers.
• Supplier portfolio optimization: Rationalize/dual source the supply base, qualify new suppliers, and drive supplier development to improve capability, capacity, and quality.
• Cost productivity and TCO: Build should-cost models, run clean-sheet analysis, leverage market indices, and deliver annual cost savings while protecting quality and delivery.
• Risk management
• Quality and delivery performance
• NPI and lifecycle management: Ensure sourcing readiness for NPIs and ramps; manage transitions, tooling/fixtures, obsolescence, and end-of-life strategies.
• Stakeholder leadership: Align with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Program teams; run governance cadences and executive readouts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, and/or Business, from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 4 years Sourcing Commodity and/or Category Management experience or a high school diploma and with a minimum of 5 years Sourcing Commodity and/or Category Management experience.

Desired Qualifications:

• Strategic sourcing/category management with multi-site/global scope
• Proven delivery of cost productivity, supplier performance improvement, and risk mitigation
• Expertise in negotiations, contracts, and TCO/should-cost analysis

The base pay range for this position is 149,000.00 225,000.00 USD Annual.
