The Mission Computing Hardware Engineering Manager will oversee a team responsible for the development, analysis, integration, testing, certification, and production support of E-7A Mission Computing Hardware. This hardware serves as the central nervous system of the E-7A, providing the primary user interface for operators.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage Mission Systems employees performing engineering and technical activities in support of E-7A Mission Computing Hardware.
  • Perform technical supplier management for the procurement of Mission Computing Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), including servers, routers, display processors, displays, cross-domain solutions, and time distribution units.
  • Conduct Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) management.
  • Collaborate with E-7A Mission Systems leadership to ensure effective project planning, implementation, and incorporation of lessons learned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-U.S. equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams and managing key stakeholder relationships.
  • 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced team environment requiring strong communication skills.
  • 3+ years of experience as a control account manager or equivalent Earned Value Management experience.
  • Experience in schedule and budget management, customer communication, and program planning and execution.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Prior experience and knowledge of Mission Systems.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of E-7.
  • Familiarity with airworthiness certification processes.
  • Experience with environmental, EME/EMI qualification per DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461/464.
  • Master of Science in an engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Build, improve, and robustify end-to-end integrated ML pipelines for training multimodal (language, images, 3D, video, actions) models at scale.
  • Develop and manage physics-based robot simulation environments enabling scalable training and evaluation of learning-based behavior models in realistic, physically grounded scenarios.
  • Integrate and validate learned policies in simulation, assessing real-world applicability, generalization, and performance across diverse environments, tasks, geometries, and sensor viewpoints.
  • Train, finetune, and serve robot foundation models with a strong MLOps mindset.

You Will:

We Are Looking For:

Electronics Engineering Technologist Level 3:

  • Minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience providing advanced technical support in electronics testing, maintenance, and development.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electronics, electromechanical systems, scientific principles, and mathematics.
  • Foundational experience with PLCs, TTL, ECL, CMOS, relays, and VHF/UHF/SHF microwave technologies.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in advanced troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of complex electronic systems.
