UPMC Community is looking for a new Per Diem/Casual Physical Therapist to join their team. This position will support the inpatient rehab facility and the acute hospital setting.

Schedule: 16 hours per month. Weekend hours from 7:00 am 3:30 pm, no holidays. Ability to pick up extra hours!

Purpose: The Staff Physical Therapist reviews patient charts, performs initial assessments, develops treatment plans, administers physical therapy treatments and modalities, monitors progress and documents treatments performed with patients (including discharge planning and patient education) in order to increase overall functioning, reduce discomfort, increase or maintain flexibility and range of motion/strength, and achieve other medical and therapeutic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicates patient's status to the referring physician and other health care team members.
  • May serves as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students as well as residents and fellows in a specialty area of physical therapy.
  • Maintains professional license/registration through steady pursuit and participation in appropriate continuing education and professional development opportunities to satisfy requirements for licensure/registation renewal.
  • Performs physical therapy assessment, reassessment and treatment and supervises physical therapist assistants in the treatment of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients referred by a physician to the clinic.
  • Develops plan of care including goals and treatment plan in accordance with physician referral, nature of injury/illness and results of physical therapy assessment.
  • Modifies or adjusts plan of care based on patient's response to treatment and/or changes in patient's status.
  • Works PTAs to adjust patient programs as patient status changes.
  • Rotates through selected treatment areas when necessary to facilitate organizational needs.
  • Attends and actively participates in staff meetings and in-service education programs.
  • Maintains written documentation for all physical therapy services rendered including documentation of initial assessment, follow-up visits, and discharge summary consistent with department standards.
  • Co-signs physical therapist assistant documentation biweekly.
  • Completes necessary charge and statistical information to accurately reflect the service rendered to the patient.
  • Provides verbal and/or written home instructions to patient and/or family members when applicable.
  • Schedules patients to achieve and maintain a level of productivity which meets or exceeds the standard established for the facility by the organization while ensuring delivery of quality patient care.

Educational/Knowledge Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities & Interpersonal/Language Skills:

  • Must possess knowledge and skills required to provide quality customer service. Must possess knowledge of normal human growth and development over the lifespan. Must be able to read, understand, analyze, and interpret medical record documents. Must be skilled in planning/organization, follow up/control, delegation, problem solving, self-development orientation, organizational behaviors/competencies, and stress tolerance. The Role

We are seeking an experienced Machine Builder II to join our team, specializing in the assembly and construction of high-precision adhesive and sealant dispensing equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex mechanical and electrical systems. This is an on-site position located in Carson City, NV. Only local candidates will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, build, and integrate precision dispensing equipment according to engineering specifications and customer requirements.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to ensure accurate machine construction.
  • Install and configure mechanical components, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and electrical controls.
  • Perform mechanical adjustments and calibrations to meet precise dispensing specifications.

Work Hours Schedule will be 40 hours/week, with a schedule made up of the operating hours below:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m., with one evening shift of 11:45 a.m. 8:15 p.m.

Wednesday: 9:45 a.m. 6:15 p.m.

Friday and Saturday: 8:45 a.m. 5:15 p.m.

Every 3rd Saturday rotation: 8:45 a.m. 5:15 p.m. (with 1 weekday shift off)

Currently closed on Sundays, although in the future you will be asked to join a rotation of Sundays where you may work one Sunday every 7 to 8 weeks depending upon the pool of employees at either the Selby Public Library or the Jacaranda Library.

  • Deep expertise with Databricks, specifically the ability to design enterprise-level strategy and architecture including Unity Catalog, data warehousing, data sharing, and Mosaic AI
  • Experience setting end-to-end modern data platforms in Azure including architecture/design, ingestion, storage strategies, analytics & reporting, Apache Spark, and networking requirements
  • Experience establishing data management strategy for customers, including data governance, data security, master data management, and familiarity with different industry security requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to clearly explain concepts to teammates and customers, and quickly learn new concepts and technologies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to create working environments for data engineers and scientists, and general knowledge of ML, AI, LLMs, and MLOps
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Purview
  • DevOps for data, GitHub, automated testing, and working with containers (AKS, Docker, registries, etc.)
  • Broad experience with data/reporting tools, architectures, cloud vendors, and data/AI concepts other than Microsoft
  • Experience with industry leading data tools, such as Profisee, FiveTran, DBT, and Collibra
