Position Overview

Cleveland Clinic Children’s and the Children’s Institute of Cleveland Clinic are seeking subspecialty trained Pediatric Dermatologists to join our growing academic Pediatric Dermatology section, with BC/BE candidates preferred. The candidate can expect strong institutional support for programmatic and professional development. Clinics will be located at Cleveland Clinic Children’s outpatient center at main campus and at ambulatory clinic sites throughout the greater Northeast Ohio region. This position includes a primary appointment to the Children’s Institute and secondary appointment to the Department of Dermatology. An academic appointment in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) will be supported at a rank commensurate with experience and accomplishments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized evaluation, diagnostics, and treatment for children from neonatal to young-adult ages, including medical and surgical dermatologic care and laser therapy.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary clinics drawing on the strength of pediatric specialists within Cleveland Clinic Children’s and Cleveland Clinic more broadly.
  • Engage in teaching duties for Pediatric Residency, Dermatology Fellowship, and medical students.
  • Contribute to scholarly program development, quality improvement, and research program advancement.

Special Skills

CRNAs must have sharp concentration and focus, along with the ability to stay calm under stressful conditions. CRNAs must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with surgeons and the surgical support team, as well as with patients and their families. A calm and reassuring manner is one way to inspire trust in patients, who may be apprehensive about surgery, as well as the surgical team. Anesthetic patient management must be immediate and responsive. Flexibility and adaptability are required.

Physical Demand

A CRNA must be able to demonstrate intellectual-conceptual, integrative and quantitative abilities; skills in observation, communication and motor functions; and mature behavioral and social attributes. Sensory- CRNA must be able to detect and interpret changes in monitoring alarms and equipment. Functional vision, hearing. no impairment of sense of smell and tactile sensation must be adequate. CRNA must be able to observe a patient accurately at a distance and close. Communication-CRNA should be able to speak, hear and observe. CRNA must be able to communicate effectively- includes speech, reading and writing. Motor -CRNA should have sufficient motor function to elicit pertinent information. CRNAs should be able to stand for long periods of time and wear lead as needed for fluoroscopy, X-Ray cases. CRNAs must have the ability to lift 25 pounds and reach above and below shoulder height. CRNA must be able to negotiate patient care environments and be able to move self/patients between anesthesia locations. Coordination of both gross and fine muscular movements, equilibrium, and functional use of the senses of touch and vision is required. Intellectual-Conceptual, Integrative and Quantitative Abilities-Abilities include measurement, calculation, reasoning, analysis and synthesis. Problem-solving, the critical skill demanded requires all of these intellectual abilities. CRNA should be able to comprehend 3-dimensional relationships and understand the spatial relationships. Behavioral and Social Attributes -CRNA must possess the emotional health required for full utilization of intellectual abilities, the exercise of good judgment, the prompt completion of responsibilities. What You Will Do

The Senior Specialty Representative acts as the primary customer contact and is responsible for implementing marketing strategy and promoting Amgen products as led by the District Manager. In this vital role you will provide clinical knowledge of our products to medical professionals and help them navigate the complex payer environment.

Responsibilities Include

  • Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate the clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization of the products.
  • Perform as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following-up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through both in-person and virtual engagement.
  • Develop relationships to service and manage accounts which may include customizing discussions and customer interactions based on an understanding of customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving/triage reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
  • Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
  • Partner with other colleagues to share best practices and seek to learn and grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
  • Demonstrate passion for our products and sustain that passion through the entire sales cycle while always building our brand and never losing sight of how we serve patients.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related.
  • Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related.
  • High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related.

Preferred Qualifications

  • More than 3 years Sales, marketing and/or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, healthcare medical device or medical supply industries.
  • Product or hospital sales experience in the areas of oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases; and the diseases and treatments involved with these specialties.
  • Advanced influencing and relationship-building skills with a focus on sales outcomes.
  • Local Market knowledge.
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.

Compensation & Benefits

Expected annual salary range: $122,219 - $150,837. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.

Qualifications
