Compensation

In this leadership role, you will guide and support plant safety efforts during an off shift or designated operational area, partnering closely with site leadership to promote a culture of safety. Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Educate facility associates, primarily salaried leaders, on safety principles and provide leadership, technical advice, and support to initiatives and projects which enhance safe efficient high-quality operations.

  • Assist Safety & Security Manager (S&S) in interviewing associates and gathering information on incidents and near misses and completed root cause analysis.
  • Attend and provide safety perspectives for safety meetings, PSM meetings or any other safety-related meetings that occur.
  • Assist the S&S Manager in responding to associates' needs and concerns for safety issues as they arise.
  • Assist the S&S Manager by taking & posting meeting notes for the safety committee meetings.
  • Maintain oversight and training for operational safety leads (OSL) and safety trainers on day and night Shift.
  • Assist in Corp Safety Audit and safety related documentation.
  • Support the site security contractors and initiatives.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by the S&S Manager or Corporate Safety.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or Occupational Health & Safety or 3-5-years work experience in operational safety within Perdue Farms' industrial safety organization and current enrollment in an EH&S or safety related degree program.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Safety professional certification or 2-5 years' experience within manufacturing functioning as a Safety Manager.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors:

  • This position operates in a climate-controlled office environment.

Job Summary:
 
The Workers’ Compensation Attorney is responsible for evaluating, managing, and resolving workers’ compensation cases from assignment through legal resolution within a high-volume practice. This role focuses on legal strategy, advocacy, negotiation, and compliance while working within a structured, process-driven case management system. 

The attorney collaborates closely with Case Managers and support staff to ensure efficient case progression, consistent outcomes, and a high standard of client representation. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 
  • Evaluate new and existing workers’ compensation cases to determine legal merit and appropriate strategy. 
  • Represent clients in workers’ compensation hearings, mediations, depositions, and other proceedings as required. 
  • Prepare, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery responses, medical summaries, and settlement documents. 
  • Conduct settlement negotiations and advocate for favorable client outcomes consistent with firm standards. 
  • Provide legal direction and guidance to Case Managers on assigned cases.

Required Skills/Abilities:
