Patient Service Representative Rural Health Group, a multi-location Community Health Center in northeastern North Carolina, is seeking a Patient Services Representative for a full time position at our outpatient primary care clinics located on the "east side" of our service area. The clinics in this region include Enfield, Jackson, Rich Square, Scotland Neck and Whitakers. You will have the opportunity to indicate which location(s) you are interested in on the application.

This position is responsible for professionally responding to telephone inquiries from callers as they relate to health services our organization provides. Rural Health Group's Call Center staff are responsible for solving problems and educating callers about our organization's health services and procedures. Operators/schedulers are also responsible for documenting all patient interactions in the appropriate computer system. This position is part of our extended hour call center environment and sometimes requires evenings, nights, and weekend hours. For hours worked outside of regular clinic hours, you will be required to work from home.

Your Pay & Benefits

Job Summary



Summary: Prepares food in accordance with applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service is provided at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items.
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service. Responsible for records from area worked during service periods.
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat. Ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
  • Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
  • Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings.
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
  • Personal commitment to your own safety and that of others.
  • Abides by all Company policies and procedures including but not limited to:
    • The use of a medium weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer.
    • The use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steamtables.
    • The use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.

The full continuum of River Edge Behavioral Health services provides state-of-the-art treatment and support services for more than 13,000 children, youth, families, and adults annually, who experience mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders, or developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Acts as client advocate in order to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
  • Collects information about clients through interviews and observations.
  • Utilizes skills trainings with clients in both individual and group sessions in order to help them overcome deficiencies, recover from illness, and better adjust to life.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
  • Insures confidentiality of records relating to client’s treatment.
  • Evaluates client’s physical or mental condition based on a review of information.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in the treatment and care plans.
  • Insures safety and security of clients and co-workers. Must have good knowledge of agency safety policies and procedures.
  • Completes doc via EMR in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Needed (education and/or experience):
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and two years, Preferred of related experience or a Master’s degree in a related field. Or one year at a lower level or equivalent position.
  • Completes/maintains continuing education requirements. Examples include: Mindset CPR/FA/AED, Essential Learning, and others as required.
  • Good interpersonal skills. Has the ability to observe, record, and report deviations in patient’s conditions.
  • Good communications skills, both from an interpersonal standpoint and the ability to write/produce written reports/documentations as needed to insure good patient care.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 16 - 20 pounds whenever needed.
